Mitt Romney, the twice-failed Republican candidate for president, has kicked off a weekend convention of fellow-minded “NeverTrump-ers,” hosting a retreat at a secluded Utah spot so they can gather and talk without worry of media coverage and condemnation about how they should proceed politically, if the billionaire businessman wins the White House.
It’s called the “Experts and Enthusiasts Summit,” or “E2” summit, and it’s set at the Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley in Park City, the Washington Post reported.
Reportedly, those in attendance will talk about their plans to take down Trump with a third-party candidate. Such talk was going strong in recent weeks, fueled by Weekly Standard neoconservative editor Bill Kristol. But Kristol’s top pick, National Review writer David French, opted against a run, sending the “NeverTrump” crowd back to square one.
The retreat is seen as a hopeful new stand against Trump, with about 300 of the party’s establishment attending, Breitbart said.

When the RINO’s man gets the nomination we’re told to suck it up and support the RINO, now we see their true colors, democrat red.
Of the many disjointed Republican candidates who have ever received my vote, this one is high on the list of those who have shamed me the most. He beats out the last first listed person, Richard Nixon. And the GOPe is still in the dark as to why their base is evaporating. The party is skating on thin ice.
I doubt it.
The invitees are part of the elite class, half of which is GOP, and half of which is DEM. They are indifferent as to which party is in control of the government, because either way, they get to pull the strings.
Those who would trash the Constitution and enslave the People are coalescing into definable sets of traitors....

Look at the people who bankrolled Romney, and who customarily bankroll the RNC/GOP candidate for president. It's the GOP-side of elites who buy elections.
Romney would rather lose America, the 2nd Amendment, then have his ego offended by watching Trump win.

Mitt was elected governor to the most liberal state in the country. I don’t vote for liberals.
Mittens doesn’t seem to get that he and others like him are a large part of the reason why someone like Trump won. Millions of us held our noses and voted for Mittens, even though we didn’t like him. Yet when we finally get someone actually representing us, he and many other whiney, back-stabbing establishment figures will not do the same. They are above listening to their voters after all, and they don’t understand that circumstances are changing. We’re not nearly as willing to put up with their B.S. with a happy face any more.
Remember when Huntsman (UT Mormon) took the Ambassador job under Obama?
I’m betting Romney is looking at the same thing under Clinton.
