Here we go again.
Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump has done it this time. His attacks on the Mexican heritage of federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel clearly show that Trump's campaign is off the rails. The proof is that even prominent Republican leaders like House Speaker Paul Ryan and former Speaker Newt Gingrich have disavowed themselves from Trump's attacks on the judge. Surely, this is the beginning of the Trump campaign's self-destruction!
Not so fast my friends.
Let me rewrite the opening paragraph to represent the true Trump strategy here, one I don't endorse but still recognize for what it is:
Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump has done it again. His attacks on the Mexican heritage of federal Judge Gonzalo Curiel clearly show that Trump's campaign is still following its uncharted but calculated path. The proof is that even prominent Republican leaders like House Speaker Paul Ryan and former Speaker Newt Gingrich have disavowed themselves from Trump's attacks on the judge. Surely this is the continuation of the Trump campaign's brash efforts to separate itself from the Republican Party not so much in reality, but in voter perception....

[Should be a veeeeery interesting press conference tonight.]
I must have missed something... is Trump holding a presser tonight??
9PM EDT
The judge is now the one getting the scrutiny as is the National Council of The Race and The Race Lawyers Association.
We can translate even if the Ministry of Propaganda won’t.
Ethnically based organizations are inherently racist.
That’s why there can’t be any white associations, right?
Chrispie Cream is still in my doghouse for handing Obama a way to wrap himself in hurricane relief and win reelection. #nothanks
Of course Ryan is trash, he was hand-picked by Boehner (unprecedented, by the way) to succeed him as Speaker. RINO clique scum.
“One more word by Newt and he is off the short list”
I’m pretty sure that he is already off the list. Trump said that he watched the Newt interview on Sunday. The last thing he needs is a VP who undermines him in the press. Trump is known to value loyalty above all else.
[Has Jeff Sessions commented on this stupid judge fiasco?]
I guessing the reason why he hasn’t is all part of the plan...
This Judge is a political hack, his Law Firm gave over 700,000 to the Clintons..the same firm is connections to La Raza, he has a bias nuff said
As indicated by what?
My thoughts also (see 13). I see I’m in good company. ;-)
Go Jeff Sessions!
I heard Sessions will be on Glenn Beck (?!) tomorrow.
I want loyalty— not blind sycophantic loyalty but Newt is real close to being prosecutorial. He doesn’t need to pile on with the back stabbing establishment . Let me tell you that this is turning bad for the Judge — not Trump. LA RAZA!!”THE RACE” Which race? The Judge called Trump a “hater”? You can’t make this jack ass up!!
Note how the voters tonight don’t give a crap about what the prostitutes say. Once again TRUMP PREVAILS!!We love him so.
[Trump is known to value loyalty above all else.]
SARAH PALIN is probably on the short list.
Well, I don’t listen to or watch Beck, so I’ll miss it, but I can’t image why Sessions would be on with Beck. I hope that Sessions isn’t going to throw The Donald under the bus.
I think Trump’s lawyers were getting ready to file recusal papers (maybe already have). The judge didn’t want to consider it and Trump did what Trump does best....he scuttled the weasel. Good for Donald.
Even if papers hadn’t been filed, when they are now the judge will HAVE to recur because there ain’t no way he can honestly say he is impartial
