The curriculum vitae of Trump University Judge Gonzalo Curiel specifically mentions his affiliation with the Hispanic National Bar Association, or HNBA.
The Hispanic National Bar Association published a press release on July 2nd 2015 which specifically stated their intention to target the “business interests” of Donald Trump:

Now, I doubt you could find a more conformational reason for Donald Trump to be concerned about a Judge overseeing the Trump University lawsuit, which everyone admits is based on some sketchy legal standing, than Judge Curiel specifically belonging to a legal enterprise of affiliates who have clearly stated their intent to target Trump’s business interests.
Recap: ◾The attorney group leading the lawsuit against Trump are heavily involved in Democrat politics and have paid Bill and Hillary Clinton $675,000 for “speeches”. (link) ◾The Judge in the lawsuit is an open borders immigration activist with direct ties to San Diego La Raza, and has openly engaged with them on their political endeavors. I think more people ought to know that La Raza is an hispanic supremicist group.
The judges race is ancillary. The fact that he is a member of a racist organization should be given attention.

When this all started, I said to myself that he was going to wind up being correct. I’ve learned to think that now when it comes to The Donald.
The hypocrisy of the establishment is astounding here, particularly on the Republican side. On the one side they are hand-wringing over the next Supreme Court judicial appointees, on the other they are trying to imply that all judges are impartial no matter what their race. Of course judges are biased, particularly this one, based on the track record of this career, and it’s a track he would never have chosen but for his ethnicity.
Honestly, I had Fox on last night and I couldn’t believe the bashing coming from them, AGAIN. Very little about Hitlery and the bombshell book....just Trump.
To me, the biggest loser so far....Newt. Very disappointing.

I live in TX, and despite the revisionism, and spin from a lot of “sources”, Sundance understands, and exposes the truth.
In San Antonio, the Industrial Areas Foundation helped form the originators of these groups.
LULAC, MALDEF, Then, La Raza, MALDEF spin off La Raza Lawyers Association. Millions from the Ford Foundation.
I can remember the person, along with his sister, who helped start LULAC in my town. Grievances, and claims of oppression, and racism where none existed. This guy was the biggest racist, calling other Mexican Americans coconuts..brown on the outside, white on the inside if they didn’t want any part of the group.
He was an incompetent employee, but never got canned because the higher ups were afraid of the race card.
He disowned his daughter for marrying “a white”.
Since everyone was a racist, when he’d throw that label my way, I would look aghast, and say, “I’m a member of
Citizens
Organizing
Mexican
Americans
to
Obtain
Social
Equality”
He never “got” it.
