Donald Trump urged his supporters during a Monday conference call to defend his controversial accusation that a federal judge is unfit to rule in a Trump University fraud case because of his Hispanic heritage, Bloomberg reported.
Trump was defiant, despite the rash of criticism he's faced from Republicans and Democrats alike, according to a description of the call to Bloomberg by two supporters who participated.
"We will overcome," Trump said. "And Ive always won and Im going to continue to win. And thats the way it is."
He went on to declare that his surrogates should specifically target journalists who are bringing up the issue.
"The people asking the questions those are the racists," Trump added. "I would go at 'em."
When former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, a Trump supporter, told the presumptive GOP presidential nominee that the campaign's surrogate handler specifically emailed about steering clear of the controversy, Trump bristled.
"Take that order and throw it the hell out," he said, repeatedly demanding to know who sent the memo, Bloomberg reported. When told the memo was sent by Erica Freeman, a staffer who sends information to surrogates, Trump said he didn't know her, Bloomberg reported.
"Are there any other stupid letters that were sent to you folks? That's one of the reasons I want to have this call, because you guys are getting sometimes stupid information from people that aren't so smart."
Trump has repeatedly questioned Judge Gonzalo Curiel, arguing that his Mexican heritage makes him biased in the case because of Trump's plan to build a border fence along the Mexican border.
Instead of walking that back, he doubled down over the weekend, floating the prospect that a Muslim judge might be similarly biased against him and unfit to preside in a case he's involved in.

La Raza is a group espousing Insurrection and domestic terrorism.
It is also closely aligned with organized crime and the drug cartels
Its members can be considered domestic terrorists openly involved in multiple criminal conspiracies
How did this guy become a judge?
No, it’s that he is connected to La Raza. But most people don’t know what that is. Again, this is Trump’s “shorthand,” like “crooked Hillary.”
His support of La Raza indicates that in fact he sees everything through the prism of oppression and Hispanic-ness.
What if the NAACP called themselves “The Race” instead? For any organization to call themselves “The Race” is the height of stupidity. The Aryan Nation guys don’t call themselves “The Race”
Trump should talk more about this toxic, Mexican/Hispanic irredentist organization called La Raza that is a big feeder at the Federal trough during the Obama regime.
It would be unthinkable to worry more about the American vote than the illegal.
Newt is walking back his criticism a little on Bill O'Reilly's show just now.
Keep dreaming pal. Hillary would love to magnify this into a major issue. She was out there yesterday calling Trump a scam artist. Connect the dots!!!!
A Nuevo-Nazi.
No. The judge is connected at the hip with La Raza and the group that donated heavily to Billary. Read a little.
Judge Curiel has now decided after Trumps comments in California that he will unseal 100 pages of sensitive documents that are related to the case to the Washington Post before the November election.
Judge Gonzalo Curiel was nominated by Barack Obama to serve on the US district court in Southern District of California.
How can we find out how this Judge was assigned this case? Is there a way to see collusion with the Democrats and Clintons, in that they colluded to get this specific judge assigned to the Trump case? Wouldn’t that in itself show the political operatives colluding with this very political Anti-American judge?
You are absolutely right.
This us one of the handicaps we all knew he had going in to the race.
He better not screw it up over it - something that is a 100% private matter.
La Raza Lawyers of San Diego does more than subvert law by funding illegal aliens.
La Raza Lawyers of San Diego has joined the Southern Border Communities Coalition, an organization that promotes amnesty for illegal aliens and which opposes a border wall. In fact, one of the constituent organizations is named No Border Wall. They also want the Border Patrol to “shift whole Border Patrol units from interdiction to search and rescue”, and complain that enforcement of immigration laws violate foreigners’ human rights.

More proof Gonzalo Curiel is a POS judge. Lets see if Trump’s lawyers can block this document dump release.
At last he's consistent...all the groups Curiel listed on his resume are plotting to overthrow the US govt.
The whole lawsuit stinks to high heaven. It should have been thrown out.
Here is post 14
Has he said or done anything to give Trump the impression that hes not able to rule fairly?
Have you read anything about the case? The main plaintiff turns out to have praised Trump University, in writing, and Trump can provide that backup. So the prosecutors now want to change the plaintiff, since their whole case has been undercut. In any other case, it would have been dismissed, but not this one. Why? Because this case is supposed to be dragged out, intentionally, and they have a compliant judge to help.
Its clear whats going on. This judge is political, that is, not making rulings on the law, but on politics. Hes associated with La Raza and should recuse himself. But he wont.
This is what Trump is trying to tell us...good reading...
The only thing these racist, leftist and assorted American hating individuals have is race. Of course it’s been long understood these people see white racist everywhere. America has been force fed their endless race bull sh*t for decades now. And it’s all been sponsored by the lying corrupt media.
