On Saturday a four-year old boy fell into a gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Sadly the gorilla, named Harambe, was shot and killed by zoo officials to save the life of the child, sparking outrage on social media.
The most ludicrous of the objections came from those who actually believed the gorilla was killed because of racism.
Conservative author and commentator Mark Dice uncovered some of the most outrageous tweets, including a slew that referred to the child as a “white boy” and one that called the killing an act of “white privilege.”
As Dice pointed out in his video the race of the child was still unknown.

It did look like the gorilla wasn’t hurting the child, but I guess the zoo officials thought the situation was too unpredictable and didn’t want to take any chances. It’s a shame the poor creature had to be killed. I’d like to know what the hell the parents were doing when the kid fell in. How did that happen?

Those people would not be holding those signs had it been one of their children .
The whole thing is obnoxious .
The zoo followed their emergency protocol when the gorilla refused to listen to the keeper and go back to it’s quarters.
You don’t tranquilize any wild animal when they are that close to a human because you never know how that animal is going to react .
People should leash their small children when going out to places like this because even if you watch them like hawks they can dart away in a split second .
Well, we are all primates.
It took a lot more than a split second for the kid to get away, the mother was pre-occupied with other things.

Gorillas will always stand up for other gorillas.
I’m not saying she wasn’t preoccupied .
Not saying she wasn’t watching him close .
I said that people should leash their small children because even if you watch them like hawks they can break free and slip away in seconds .
I’ve seen people give black looks to parents using those kiddie harnesses.
I have no problem with them.
I leash my dogs because I love them and want them to be safe.
How much more would I want that for my child?
People are losing their minds.
