Libertarians on Sunday selected former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson as their party's presidential nominee, at their party convention in Orlando, Florida.
"At a minimum, I think we're in the presidential debates," Johnson said to cheers.
Sarwark said the party had established a "back channel" to the Koch brothers, in the hopes the wealthy libertarian-leaning funders donate to the Libertarian Party. Sarwark also said he had been speaking to Matt Kibbe, former president of conservative advocacy group Freedomworks, about supporting the party's nominee.
Johnson received almost 1 percent of the general election vote in 2012
A recent national poll had Johnson receiving 10 percent of support from registered voters,
Another national poll showed 44 percent of registered voters would want a third party to run against Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, and Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee.

The thought I've had is that the political backstabbers....Romney, Cruz, the Bushes, Ryan, Beck etc getting involved in this is helping Trump. It'll be quite easy to convince your friends who are Independents and those who support Bernie that they're all in favor of hillary winning instead of Trump. With enemies like these, Trump will have a much easier time earning the Independent and Sanders voters.

He’s a big time cyclist (bike-weenie) as well. As Governor here (New Mexico), he announced that he was going to be bicycling across the state so that he could meet the people of New Mexico. I think it was right before or during his campaign for re-election. Anyway, I was driving the 35 miles to town (Silver City) to pick up some supplies. It’s a remote 2 lane highway, 60mph speed limit the whole way. I was on a stretch of straight away and could see a couple state troopers way up ahead with their flashing lights coming towards me, but they were going slow. As I came closer to them, I could see three bicyclists in between the two troopers. It’s not uncommon at all to see bicyclists on this highway, as it has a yearly bike race called the Tour de Gila on it, so I didn’t think much of the cyclists, but the two troopers was odd. But here’s the deal, as I came up to them, the lead trooper came fully into my oncoming lane like he was playing chicken with me!!! He literally ran me off the road, and I could see him shouting and pointing his finger at me!!! Evidently all oncoming traffic (what little there is) was supposed to get off the highway as Big Gary Johnson rode by on his bicycle!!!! I’m certain it was him because on the following day people told me Gary had been in Silver City on his Bicycle the prior morning.
That’s my experience with Gary Johnson, and it makes me angry again just thinking about it! Run off the road so he could pass on his bicycle. F***him!!!
For those who think I was kidding, it’s real. This will be all over the news later I imagine. The guys name is James Weeks. Not sure how to spell it, going phonetically. This occurred after the first ballot, and when they were giving speeches on the second ballot for VP.
An idiot voting for Gary Johnson is a vote for an idiot.

Correction: The striptease guy was apparently running for chair of the party, the “speech” was during a break for second round voting for VP. Unbelievable.
It would be interesting to see if he draws any votes from Bernie supporters. He seems to be a natural candidate for them to settle for.
Gary Johnson is about as Libertarian as Obama is to the Constitution Party. He’s a complete joke, plus didn’t some huge anti-gun lib get nominated for his VP?
