My TV’s okay since I replaced my bricks with nerf balls.
I agree that it was not off the cuff. My sense is that for whatever reason, right or wrong, he doesn't respect her, and he is indifferent about getting her support. He didn't buy the reason she gave for not appearing at the rally. He may think she is weak on immigration.
Susana Martinez, the Yin to Donald Trump's Yang? - NBC News - Apr 25 2016
Following [self-proclaimed genius Bill] O'Reilly's comments the Governor's Press Secretary said she had no intention of entering the fray as a vice presidential candidate. Not surprising given Martinez endorsed fellow Latino Republican Marco Rubio and denounced Trump's comments about Mexican immigrants even leaving open the possibility that she wouldn't vote for him.
We don't know what happened behind the scenes either. He or the campaign may have had discussions urging her to appear, including discussions around her given reason. If she doesn't want to support him, using a pretext of prior engagements, his reaction is just a negotiating device. He's willing to walk away from the table. Is she?
We don't get it here til 2:00 pm. My fav.is Manafort. I think he's the key to success. Lewndowski is OK but Paul Manfort will save the day,IMHO. One thing we have to remember:
Manafort says the media is trying to find issues where there aren't issues.
The regime has nothing to run on.
Trump can run on a variety of issues from open borders to the budget, the debt, Iraq,Iran,IRS,you name it he has so much he can run on it's a challenge just to pick a few.
What hillary had planned on running on is already being sabotaged.Hillary was going to be the "female candidate."Just like zero ran using the race card hill was going to use the female card. Problem is she has a hand in killing one of her x-boyfriends Vince foster. She can't quite explain how he got rug fibers from her place on his body while Foster shot himself twice any more than she can explain how or why she ran interference for bubba on his many rape episodes.
Women voters don't like murderers or rapists.
Killing off her vision of stealing the womens' vote simply because she is one is huge and we are well on our way to doing so.After that it will be all down hill for her unless she flunks the FBI primary than it's over real quick.
I’m not sure.
I would like to know what has gone on behind the scenes because he has clearly concluded that there is value in attacking her. And the crowd response was supportive of his attack.
Marco Rubio?
A buddy of mine did the same thing you are talking about when all the oil service stocks started crashing. He bought big. Said he would either make a pile or go broke, haven't seen him lately but I'm sure he didn't go broke.
Ron Fournier is the putz that gently suggests Trump supporters are racist white males, and Trump's snubbing of Martinez was designed to appeal to the racist white male Trump voters.
I do enjoy seeing Brit Hume having the vapors over Trump.
General line of discussion among the FoxNews intelligentsia is the effect of having two high-negative candidate in the race. Does that mean high turnout? Low turnout? One assumption being that there is small number of high-energy Trump supporters, and most who vote for Trump are really voting against Hillary.
I’m in jeopardy I’m still throwing fishing tackle at the screen.....
One thing I am finding is that every time I second guess Trump it seems he has a lot more in the background he has not put forward relating to almost everything he does.Vince Foster murder a perfect example.
She is part of the #NeverTrump cabal, I believe.
Jeff sessions now explaining to the “money honey” Maria Bartiromo on FNC why hillarys computergate is an important story and that everyone does not do it”!
Sessions explains that hillary plans to lie her way out of this one just like the other issues.
Yeah, everybody knows it's actually "Fauxahontis...the Fake Indian" (thank you Howie Carr)
Trump needs to keep throwing that in their face.
I like him too. He is wise and well spoken. "The softer/presidential side of Trump."
Trump is the real key, but Manafort is making a difference. Between the two of them, they know many of the payers, and can do a very good job of "quick vetting" of newcomers to this endeavor - not just their team, but delegates, opponents, pundits, and press.
-- What hillary had planned on running on is already being sabotaged.Hillary was going to be the "female candidate." --
That is still the plan. Came up in FoxNews panel too, she being "first woman nominated for the office," implying that alone is a big deal and deserves some respect. So much for "I have a dream," looking past the color, sex or other superficial aspect of a person.
-- Killing off her vision of stealing the womens' vote simply because she is one is huge and we are well on our way to doing so. --
I don't think it would be possible unless the opposition voice was politically incorrect by nature, and had trivial "woman issues" in his (or her, I can imagine a "female Trump") own closet.
Did the All Stars highlight any of their predictions during the Primaries?
On ABC the question of reforming SS and how Trump differs from the GOP. The GOP wants to reform it and Trump says there will be no reduction in benefits period. I wish they would ask Hillary about what should be done with SS and Medicare.
There is no doubt that SS and Medicare need to be reformed. They are the biggest drivers of our debt and represent over $60 trillion in unufunded liabilities over a 75 year period. However, Trump has got it right. He says no reduction in SS benefits.
This may drive the GOP and Ryan wild, but what Trump has done is remove the issue from the campaign. The Dems have always relied on the Stupid Party to produce various plans to save SS and Medicare including privatization. They scare the public and the Dems act as the defenders of the entitlements. Trump has thrown that playbook in the trash.
There is no doubt that the GOP will include SS and Medicare reform in the platform. Ryan will be the one who will insist upon it despite the Dem attacks that showed him pushing granny over a cliff. Trump should continue to distance himself from this position.
Congress will have to address the issue and will have no choice. Any solution will have to be bipartisan similar to what Reagan and Tip O'Neil worked out on SS in 1983. Everyone knows this, which is why Trump should not propose any solutions and reforms leaving it up to Congress to work out. Obama had the Simpson-Bowles commission and that went no where. Obama exercised no leadership whatsoever.
Paul ryan’s reluctance to stupport the Donald now coming up with Sessions and Maria. What a putz. He needs to be primaried I hope he is.
Martinez hit Trump. Trump hits back. Simple enough.
Gasoline prices finally tipped $2.00/gallon yesterday here in Aiken County, SC. Most of last week the price was $1.99.
Yesterday, on my way to town to enjoy the Memorial Day Parade, one station's cash price was at 2.00. The credit card price was $2.03. This is a station that normally has the lowest price of the ones I pass.
If gas prices are going up, it must be summertime :)
