Ben Carson said he thinks Donald Trump is starting to believe in "a greater power" and is praying more often. Trump's former presidential rival, a key surrogate and possible vice presidential pick, told The Hill on Friday that he believes Trump is becoming more spiritual.“I know that he has prayed. I have eyewitness,” Carson said in a Facebook Live interview.

You don’t belong to the same church DT does. Do some research on the teachings of the Presbyterian church.

It’s all grace — Christ died on the cross for our sins. No need to ask for forgiveness My church believes similar.

Well no I ain’t a Presbyterian but so what? God doesn’t change how He operates.

I studied that stuff under a DTS graduate over the last couple of decades, in a bible church with no denominational strings.

Some people are so big into grace that they posit God has no rules.

God has grace and God has rules. They fit together in love. God won’t violate His most inmost being. He won’t turn love into hate for anybody.

God has told everybody, in a book we call the bible.

I may not know all, but perhaps I really do know more than you do.

And to undertake the presidency, he certainly needs God’s help and he knows it.

It is believed the prayers of all True Americans will be heard. HE has indeed blessed us with Trump and will hear our prayers to protect him for the sake of our Great Country. GOD BLESS AMERICA

I think Trump has been a church goer his whole life. Although I imagine the prospect of becoming the US President is a sobering spiritual revelation.

Actually I think we are asked to pray for our leaders for He has put them over us.

Remember the parable of the fig tree?  If it bears no fruit, cut it down!

Well, the Donald has been bringing in the figs for decades -- creating value, hiring people, getting rich, and reinvesting in his business.  And now he's cultivating a that YUGE orchard of figs, America.  And he's sacrificing a lot of easy life to do that.

Most of us pray with words.  Others pray by turning dreams, high thoughts, instruction of other men, and enormous dedication into blessed actions to harvest an incredible crop from His bounty.

The other evening DJT was talking about his brother Fred who died of Al oholism The questioner pushed. DT explained he didn’t drink, smoke etc because of his brother. Then he stated “I have my own problems!”

Again he was pushed. He stood his ground basically saying I am not without sin but I’m not discussing it publicly. .... Much simpler and In fewer words
We all are entitled to keep our transgressions between ourselves and God
He seldom mentions personal feelings in public. It was years before he could even discuss the pain of his brothers death

I had not heard about this encounter/exchange. It was so interesting—thanks for filling me in.

One of the best novels I’ve ever read, Miss Julia Speaks her Mind, was written by a Presbyterian author. Although it was fiction, it did afford a window into the Presbyterian mind. From what little I know, everything you’ve said is true.
