Thursday on MSNBCs Morning Joe, NBC chief Washington correspondent Andrea Mitchell reacted to a State Department Inspector General report criticizing Hillary Clinton for her use of a private email server while she was serving as President Barack Obamas secretary of state.
Mitchell first dismissed the Clinton campaigns defense, comparing Clintons behavior to that of her predecessor former Secretary of State Colin Powell and then declared the report to be hard to be seen as anything but devastating.
It was not allowed to not return those records before she left the State Department, Mitchell said. She violated the official records act according to her own State Department IG appointed by President Obama. What you have shown just now, Mika, it completely undercuts the argument shes been making for more than a year just as shes trying to persuade voters shes untrustworthy. I think the most surprising and shocking thing is their reaction. Claiming this is the same as what former secretaries did, comparison to Colin Powell. The facts are Colin Powell was the first secretary of state to ever use email. He used it specifically to try to launch the State Department into the new century and try to get people to communicate by email.
He was using it by example, she continued. He did use personal emails. He didnt always separate them, but it was completely aboveboard everybody in the State Department knew what he was doing. It was not, in fact, violating a rule that was put in place under Clinton, not after she left It was put in place under Clinton and she was warned before hand of decades of this records act that prohibits you to leave the State Department, to leave any agency and not turn over your records.

ABOUT COLIN POWELL’S USE OF GMAIL TOO. IN ADDITION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT EMAIL SYSTEM

So, there are so many flaws in their argument. And you know, the politics, well have to see how that plays out. But, I dont see how this is anything but devastating given the fact they have been making a completely different argument now for more than a year.
Even worse is what she did on Benghazi.
Hillary! Dear, If you’ve lost Andrea,
you’ve lost everything.
Bless yo lil heart.
It seems Andrea Bitchell has had a revelation. The Clinton botch really is a criminal.
Classic ‘Rat response to being caught. “Others have been crooked in the past so what we did is okay”
No worries, Hillary. Andrea will find the right lie to shield you.
CORRECT!! Because this partisan hack Andrea Mitchell has always been a number one Hillary Clinton booster and apologist.
Andrea Mitchell is such a stupid and transparent liberal twit pretending to be impartial on NBC
I’m beginning to fear that Clinton might not get the nomination - we need her as the opponent to win.
Why is the FR only giving posts when I hit news/activism? Did we get hacked?
Hillary tells one lie after another only to be contradicted when the truth emerges to show she wasn’t honest.
The woman can’t keep her story straight. It always changes when some new detail renders a previous explanation wanting.
Hillary might not ever be indicted but its hard to get voters to place their trust in her when her character isn’t above board.
What it essentially boils down to is you have integrity or you don’t have it. We know what that means insofar as where Hillary stands.
The memo must have finally reached Andrea. Oceania is at war with Eastasia: Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.
“Back to you, Walter”
Self preservation. She doesn't want to stained by the slime oozing from Hillary and Huma.
Ol Andrea wants a few degrees of separation from Hillary and the Clintoon crime family.
The way I see it, it's not only the private emails conducting state business but the PRIVATE SERVER where the State Department nor anyone else can see her correspondence. There is only one reason to go to the effort to put a PRIVATE SERVER in your home and that's to HIDE ILLEGALITIES.
So what did she want to hide? (And it infuriates me that this seldom gets mentioned) .... the pay for play favors she granted for "speeches" (read bribes) to sell port construction, uranium mines, lucrative contracts, etc. etc. to "donors" (read bribers) - some of whom are our enemies - to her stupid foundation (read slush fund).
That is huge but the press is trying to minimize her malfeasance by referring to it as simply emails.
Colin Powell understood full well what classified information is and what it can do in the case of unauthorized release. With Hillary you can’t tell if she is too stupid to understand the implications or too self-absorbed and irresponsible to care, or both.

Hillary! Dear, If youve lost Andrea...
Hillary’s tail wagging lackey, Mika Brzezinski made a full blown admission that Hillary is in deep doo.

The full extent of the breach won’t be known. The vulnerabilities could have been exploited to distribute remote access key loggers, reverse connection, trojan viruses throughout our most sensitive networks.
Her decision to value her all important privacy above the security of the nation should lead to the most severe punishment allowed.
But, she’ll still vote for Hillary.
