He didn’t use the word “trash” and actually applauded him for doing the job the media isn’t doing and educating the millenials about the Clintons’ tawdry past.
I understand where you’re coming from.
Rush has been most moving on describing how his 3rd marriage broke up over his deafness. He explained that no one understands the effect deafness has on a family and that he was in support groups who talked about this. I believe him!
Some men are not meant to be married. Rush may be one of them. He may be one of those rare guys who thinks he must make honest women of those he sleeps with.
Trump seems to adore women - the more beautiful the better. And yet, despite his obsession with looks, he married 3 women who have produced wonderful children. Kudos to him! I doubt he’ll stray from the gorgeous Melania - especially if he makes it into the WH. He’d be nuts to leave that preternaturally poised and beautiful woman.
I wish nothing but the best for Rush despite my recent criticisms. He has provided me with 20 years of good sense, political conservatism and fun. I also wish him peace and happiness in his private life. If you want my opinion, women can be a pain!
Rush’s lauding of Trump came late to the show when a lot of listeners here tuned out. He started out bashing Trump about trash and by the second hour was lauding him. A very weird turn-around. I’m beginning to think he’s under the thumb of his second-rate evangelical brother, David.

I was the first caller Limbaugh permitted to speak about the questions surrounding Vince Foster's death on his show. It was the day Chris Ruddy's first article about Foster appeared in the NY Post. Rush knew the whole suicide thing was bullsh*t. I had two or three more on-show calls about Foster, and when Rush wasn't talking to me about it he was talking to "Carl from Oyster Bay."
And then the FAIR attack wounded him and he wouldn't talk about it any more.
I understood. But there's a big difference between being silent and joining the Amen Corner of the MSM.
I wish The Donald would MAKE LIMBAUGH GREAT AGAIN because he needs it. It's frequently painful to listen these days.

The fact of that matter is that Rush’s brother is hysterically anti-Trump as well as an evangelical who gets politics mixed up with religion.
I’m tired of evangelicals. I was a huge supporter of the moral majority when the fine Jerry Falwall ran it. He not only had a sense of humor but a realistic point of view about the world and America in particular. It was a very sad day for me when he passed away.
Evangelicals here on FR spend an enormous amount of time attacking Catholics and Mormons instead of focusing on muslims and liberals who are virtually destroying our beautiful country.
Limbaugh’s brother needs to wake up.

First, I assume most evangelicals are pro-life, pro-God, pro-traditional marriage....
Doesn’t that sound like people we need on our side??
Not all evangelicals behave the way you have described.
Even if some do, you shouldn’t lump them all in together.
If you want to see people attacking Mormonism in general...and Mike Lee and mitt Romney in particular at times using their faith not just their politics...just find a thread where Romney or Lee has said something negative about Trump.
Attacking their politics is fine...but not their faith.
Although Lee is one of the best senators we have.

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

So the poster (or maybe poser?) thinks Rush's magic transformation from "conspiracist" to "conspiracy" critic virtually overnight had nothing to do with an advertisement placed by Jeff Cohen's FAIR (sic) group. But since I've talked to Rush and his screeners (James Golden, but I also knew "Mervin Snerdly" personally) about Vince, I know nothing.
I know nothing except that when I called after that ad was placed, I was specifically told NOT to bring up Foster without ever mentioning him when I was asked "what my comment or question was for Rush." They knew well who I was, and I knew well that if I wanted to be on the program I'd better not cross them up.
This change of heart had nothing to do with David.

This is what Prager said:

He’s comparing Trump to Stalin. That’s how bad he’s saying Trump is. It’s just that Hillary is worse. Thanks for nothing. Unbelievable. He’s concerned with stopping Hillary. Period. It’s deeply insulting to Trump supporters and amazingly arrogant and clueless. The Never Trumpers are worse, but I do find Prager’s argument to be sickening. I believe Rush shares his view.
I addressed this earlier in the Rush thread.
Apparently, you haven’t listened to Rush over the last few months. He’s off the rails and there’s no help righting the ship. (Confused metaphor)
