Albuquerque, New Mexicos largest city, sits in the high desert. Its modern Downtown core contrasts with Old Town, dating to the citys 1706 founding as a Spanish colony. Old Town is filled with historic adobe buildings, such as San Felipe de Neri Church, and shops selling Native American handicrafts. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center traces the areas tribal history. The ABQ police are under an Obama DOJ consent order because of past problems with the police department, mainly use of lethal force when not necessary to subdue a person under arrest. What shocked the public the most was video of the shooting and killing of a mentally ill man with a small knife who was surrendering to police. They are under orders to minimize use of force which led to them being overrun when the crowd rushed the entrance of the convention center. So far this evening it has been mainly cat and mouse with some rocks thrown and the police responding with smoke grenades.
The mayor of this city is an IDIOT.
And there isn't enough police on the scene at all; shamefully.
F the damned DOJ and Obama!
Be careful where you park and don’t put a Trump sticker on it. Cars were vandalized in Costa Mesa.
The same thugs will be in Anaheim.
OH It grows in WV but just not very much of it where we live probably because it’s one of the few places where there is enough flat land to farm. Lots of farms with a lot of open farmland. Just doesn’t leave much room for Honeysuckle vines. I’m sure it is more prevalent down in the hill country.
Oh good grief; what a stupid, revolting, namby-pamby, full of lies response.
Very interesting... Thanks for the background story on why the police seemed to be so feeble at times. Fortunately for them, and for the peaceful residents of Albuquerque, the protesters only numbered in the hundreds, not thousands.
See my post above. Obama’s DOJ has handcuffed the ABQ police (though in some cases it is justified).
And I feel for those poor policemen.
Amen to that!
Thanks for the info; I saw and replied to you.
“I agree... this is appalling. Why havent there been any arrests??”
Arrests can set off the crowd more than they already are. The police will let the crowd thin out more before they go after the dead enders.
We need to burn Mexican flags and protest the stupid protestors. :-)
Oh, I feel for those policemen — and horses — as well. It’s too bad there are so few of them, but they’re doing the best they can in fighting off the Mexican scum and stupid white student scum.
What I'm looking forward to now, though, are the peonies blooming. I LOVE their smell. :-)
I was at the rally today. A bunch of very nice people in line.
As we were departing, we were re-directed by APD to alternate upstairs exits out of the venue.
The protestors/rioters were still at it so everybody had to leave thru the parking garage. Even those folks who did not park there.
Very little grumbling from the attendees.
We all took it stride.
The rioters shattered a glass door to the convention center and hurled bottles at APD horse mounted officers.
Interesting night.
Our police deserve more backup and far less crap from the BLM and the PC crowd.
I've stood shoulder to shoulder with the FR DC Chapter (and other great patriots) shouting down scum like this in DC during the Bush administration, but we didn't burn any flags.
We need water cannons, rubber bullets, and snarling dogs. The hell with this crap!
Oh yes, and the horses; poor things!
