Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’d earn the ire of a character named Turd Flinging Monkey, the nom de plume of a popular online activist. A leader in the Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW) movement, which encourages men to avoid romantic relationships with women, Monkey did not take kindly to my new Prager University video talking up the benefits of marriage for men.
In the video, I noted, among other things, that married men work harder (about 400 more hours), smarter (they’re less likely to quit without having found another job), and more successfully (they make about $16,000 more per year) than their single peers. I described these as features, not bugs, of married life for men.

Interesting. But we do live in jurisdictions that have civil laws regarding relationships like this. I don’t think there’s any church authority that will overrule a state court’s ability to settle husband/wife relationship disputes under the common law, or is there?

Maybe a factor even though it is the media, not husbands, who say that.
But the root cause is rebellious women who decided they’d had enough of the man being in charge and decided they wanted to compete with men in the workplace and be in charge, not knowing or caring they are the heartbeat of the home where they also have great power and influence for future generations of lives. They trade the love of their family and home for an empty, meaningless job in the workplace.
Eve once again being deceived by the serpent and taking from the Tree of Self-Effort to try to reinvent who she is.

Of course it isn’t the only alternative. It’s just the most likely.

Why should they? They’re human beings. Sure, they are genetically programmed to like women, but if one suffers enough abuse, a human can learn to override any kind of genetic programming that we find counterproductive. The fact that masses of men are doing just that should give people a clue to just how badly women must have been treating them.

It depends on who is defining the term. Some are voluntary eunuchs. Others are just men who have decided that women are not worth getting emotionally or financially involved with, but still have sex with women.
I once came across a study which noted an inverse correlation between cost of wedding versus marriage longevity.
I mentioned it to my wife, who didn't understand why that would be so. I explained that a woman who just MUST have a fantasy-princess wedding, is not going to be satisfied for long with any real-world husband. (We had a very modest wedding)

Sure, but plenty of women are like that, and more and more with every passing day. So the good women are a vanishing rarity.
I like to make the analogy: finding a good woman nowadays is like digging through a pile of turds trying to find a tootsie roll. Not very appealing, especially if you have to take a bite of each one to see what it is.
I wouldn’t get married in the US even WITH a pre-nup. Judges in certain states can toss those out on a whim, with no cause whatsoever, and women routinely file divorce papers in whatever state has the laws stacked most in their favor, so there is no reliable way to avoid something like that.
Had a brother-in-law go through this in the 90’s. The soon to be ex-wife was on crack, their infant baby had been given the drug and was rushed to the hospital at one point, the ex had no job or means of support and the brother-in-law was working, had no criminal record and a stable home. According to the judge unless the mom is caught in the act of using an illegal drug by law enforcement the mother gets the children.
For years he would go pick up the child on the weekend and and bring her home and his Mom would be waiting at the door and they would have to peel the clothes off this little girl and throw them away, take her straight to a bath and clean the layers of filth off her. She got to eat and sleep in a clean bed for two days and then back to hell. But the judge had the childs best interest at heart...
