Donald Trump jumped to a 5 point lead over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the latest Rasmussen poll released on Thursday. Rasmussen reported:
Donald Trump has now grown his lead over Hillary Clinton in Rasmussen Reports first weekly White House Watch survey.
Trump earns 42% support to Clintons 37% when Likely U.S. Voters are asked whom they would vote for if the presidential election were held today. But Rasmussen Reports latest national telephone survey finds that 13% prefer some other candidate, while seven percent (7%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Trump will win this in the biggest landslide in modern American history.
I wonder how far ahead Trump would have to be in the general election to overcome the massive voter fraud of the left
Better, because there isnt gonna be enough to go around.
Would be good to be a popcorn farmer these days.
Oh the humanities...
Man this is going to spoil the “I told you so folks...” plans.
If he beats Hillary, it will be one more prophecy that fell flat on it’s beak!
It won’t matter who the nominee is... Dems can’t win in NOV against Trump.. I agree that one way or another Dems will likely replace Hillary before Nov, but it won’t change the outcome... only the margin.
On the popular vote, perhaps, but not in the EC... Trump won’t get a 1984.
A third party will pull far more votes from Hillary than Trump.... as much as some nevetrumps might tell you otherwise.
"...I agree that one way or another Dems will likely replace Hillary before November..."
The popular vote is the most important when considering the will of the people. The EC is subject to corruption and manipulation. In fact, Trump could very well turn out to be a greater president than Reagan, and actually take America back from decades of the corrupt bought and paid for in D.C.
".....hey Hilda, pick up the phone lines 1,2,3,4,5,.....it's the Muzzie 5...they asked me if I knew Bidens number"

Won't work. Hillary is certainly not a ‘kid’, and there is so much corruption and self-interest associated with her that it will be very difficult to repackage her. People have had enough, IMHO. Honestly, if I were her, I would drop out of the race and say that I've decided I can do more good working to help people through the Clinton foundation. This would do more for her ‘legacy’ than a tainted run for the Presidency in which all that she's done over the years is exposed and becomes the topic of national conversation. She won't, though, because this is what her whole life has been about.
With Bernie winning 11 of the last 14 primaries and the Bernie people really hating Hillary, you got to wonder if the Democrats will come up with a compromise candidate.
And everyone was talking about teh Republican party having problems! The #nevertrump movenent is dying fast, and even the most ardent Trump opponents (like myself) are now behind Trump.
I don't see that happening. If she drops out, she can say goodbye to million-dollar donations to the foundation and six-figure speaking fees.
How can you sell influence you haven't got?
If she can avoid conviction for her crimes, she may always have hard-core fans willing to donate to her causes and listen to her speak, but the big bucks will be gone. She knows this.
I was referring to the popular vote of the people. The vote that counts for those actually doing the voting.
Now, being "in play" doesn't mean "likely to switch" but I bet it won't be conceded.
Don’t forget, many people are reluctant to tell pollsters they support Trump for fear of being called names. His support may be much higher than polls indicate.
“I think Rhode Island could be in play.”
Whoa! That would really be something. It was amazing when Reagan won it in ‘84.
But people are pissed and worried. You never know.
“Honestly, if I were her, I would drop out of the race and say that I’ve decided I can do more good working to help people through the Clinton foundation.”
No can do.
A lot of nasty despots paid Hillary and Bill hundreds of millions of dollars to buy influence in her assumed administration. If she leaves the race in any way but on a stretcher, or in handcuffs, they’re going to come after her.
She owes them big-time.
