Not sure why you think Trump would be against gays in the military. Honestly not sure if he was asked in this campaign but this is what he said in 2000.

Yes, if a gay person can be a doctor or a lawyer or a teacher or take another position of responsibility, why can’t they serve this country in the military? “Don’t ask, don’t tell” has clearly failed. Gay people serve effectively in the military in a number of European countries. There is no reason why they can’t serve in the United States.

Yeah, normally it’s an hour and 10 minutes each way from my train stop to Grand Central. But there was a fire last night in Harlem that shut down most of the tracks. So there were only two tracks to feed in trains from multiple lines. It will be like that until at least Friday.

I was in DC for the swearing in of my state’s US Senator, and he surprisingly, gave me one of his personal passes, granting me passage into the US House Chamber, on the day that the twelve impeachment trial managers, presented the two articles of impeachment to USSC Chief Justice Rehnquist.
The Sergeant of Arms, was the former head of the State Police of Illinois, my home state. The chamber doors opened and he shouted Hear Yee! Hear Yee! Of course more words were spoken which I fail to remember, but it was quite the scene of high drama.
I had a front row seat in the balcony, looking down over the aisle that the trial managers used to approach the Chief Justice, which afforded an unforgettable view of the presentation of the articles of impeachment to the Chief Justice.
For such a solemn occasion, the Chief Justice had three gold ribbons sewn to each upper sleeve of his normally solid black robe. Too bad five squishy Republican Senators, joined all of the Democrat Senators, in voting Not Guilty, some (several) weeks later.
How many Congressmen who saw the report on Juanita Broaddrick have spoken up?
