Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) told Breitbart News he will honor his pledge to support the presumptive 2016 GOP presidential nominee, Donald Trump, in the general election against former Secretary of State Hillary Clintonthe likely Democratic nomineein November. Paul, along with every other 2016 GOP presidential candidate, signed a pledge that they would back the nominee in the general election.
I took a pledge when I ran for president to not run as an independent candidate and to support the Republican nominee, Paul said. I stand by that pledge, and I think that anybody who signs their word to a document ought to take it seriously before they sign a document. So I dont think theres any question that those who signed the document ought to say, you know what? I honor the pledge.
Several others, like Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Dr. Ben Carson and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, have followed through on their pledges to support Trump as the nominee. Others, like former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), have yet to do so. Now that Trump has won and he has lost, Bush has said he does not intend to back Trump over Clinton.

Lookin' right at you, Cruz!
A Bush that doesn't honor his campaign promise?
Knock me over with a feather.
The apple truly doesn't fall far from the tree.
i have all along. but i’m libertarian leaning anyway. i think Rand would be open to learn from Trump and perhaps vise versa. Rand is a constitutionalist.... and he votes that way.
Rand could lose his Senate seat with Bluegrassers once again apparently voting for a Clinton, or close enough for horseshoes. People there like Mrs. Bill.
His pledge is handy because it is better for him to run with Trump than against Trump in KY this year, not to say that Mrs. Bill won’t yet win it.
I didn’t support Rand Paul as a candidate, but I will give him him props as a stand up man of his word on this. Not a damned ounce of respect for Bush, Cruz or Fiorina. You’re either for Clinton or you’re not. We know where these folks stand, and it isn’t for this country
I was wondering the same thing. I wonder how interesting it would be or if Rand would be a good choice.
Wonder how many Bernie supporters are ex Paul-bots...?
I say that with affection.
Seems Fiorina has completely disappeared.
I would not mind Rand Paul in the least. But we really need guys like him in the senate.
Oh, I have for some time now, just not openly. His issues are very similar to Trumps, so, I think he would be an excellent choice. Plus, he is a man of his word, unlike, um, Jeb or Cruz.
I’ve said Rand Paul will be the VP. They agree on a lot if u dig down. He would compliment the ticket well. Not sure if he feels be can enthusiastically run the campaign and not throw away 75% for 25% but that is my prediction. Other are Santorum Me Huckabee
I have in detail, see the link below. He is the "Sleeper" candidate( remember the term from the Muscle Car Era? ) IMHO....

Rand Paul is a more honorable man than Yeb!
But I already knew that.
Rand would be an interesting choice.
I don’t agree with it, but I can see a certain style to it.
I was just kidding. ;o) I knew someone or two or three had probably suggested Rand.
I don't care a bit for Rand Paul, but by God, he's a man of his word! Unlike Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, etc. (The GOPe cabal)
The bush family is an embarrassment.
TTTT!
