A new Gallup Poll shows most Americans want the government to take on a bigger role in health care.
More than 1,500 people from across the country were surveyed, and 58 percent favor replacing the provisions set up by the Affordable Care Act with a federally funded health care program.
The ACA, or Obamacare, lets Americans buy insurance through the federal government, but the survey shows most citizens want the government to just pay for everything, or at least thats what theyre saying now. In recent years, Americans have waffled on whether the government should pay their medical bills.
Polls show that Americans largely said the government had an obligation to provide health care during the George W. Bush administration, peaking at 69 percent in 2007.
After Obama was elected, support dropped off and opinions became more evenly split. But backing for a single-payer plan appears to be on the upswing. After Obama was elected, support dropped off and opinions became more evenly split. But backing for a single-payer plan appears to be on the upswing.

“Progressives never quit”
Which is why they admire the Muslims.
BINGO - that should be the reply to anyone who mentions that the "government" should pay.
My thought, exactly.
The news of travlers sleeping in the airport because they missed their flight thanks to TSA delays was not enought to cause them to think maybe government in control of your health care may not be the best system. Fricking Libs!
Give them the money and let them buy their insurance. I guess they don’t want to just be riding around on free wheels with three quarters of a freebee. Got to maintainain dignutty.
Yeah, and most Americans believe either that "the rich" would then be stuck paying the bill or, that the government could (should) simply print the money.
Liar Poll.
Do not belive the liar polls coming out to push single-slayer healthcare. Questions are rigged. Sample is rigged. Context is rigged.
Government lies. That is what it does.

Polls can be made to show support for pink unicorns.
It seems there is no shortage of stupid people nowadays....
Free market. From one end to the other. Same with pharmacy.
Once they understand they are paying for it, they will demand that someone else pay for it.
Is no retirement in Worker's Paradise, only work!
And you're right, she is clueless.
Until the states amend the Constitution to grant the feds the specific power to tax and spend for intrastate healthcare purposes, federal healthcare programs like Obamacare are unconstitutional imo.
Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States. Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Where does this twit think the government would get the money? I refuse to use the word ‘government’. I use the phrase ‘taxpayer-funded benefits’. This way maybe people will get a clue as to where the money is stolen...from the paychecks of working Americans.
That’s just it. When the taxpayers pay for everyone’s healthcare, now EVERYTHING you do becomes EVERYONE’S business.
The private life is dead in America, history has killed it.
Facebook has ears listening to your television programs you’re currently watching, so that it can advertise to you. Private life went away with the development of the IC circuit and the “I accept” button on those Terms & Conditions.
In Amerika, television watches you.
I remember a recent incident when I had my phone next to the TV (Facebook’s app being installed, and Google Now as well), and one of those stupid dance contest shows popped up as I was away prepping dinner with the wifey.
I look at my phone later, and Google is suggesting show times to catch the next airing and Facebook wants me to Like Dancing With The Star’s show page.
It’s the New Normal, and it’s been happening ever since credit card companies began looking at receipts to see what you’re buying.
“You can’t always get what you want, but...sometimes...you...might...get what you need.”
Or, be careful what you ask for; you just might get it.
