Ben Carson--who the Washington Post called the both best and worst campaign surrogate of all time--revealed that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, among many others, is on Donald Trump's shortlist for potential running mates.
[...]He had just explained to the reporter riding along that he wanted no role in a Trump administration when news arrived of a new poll naming him as the best liked of a list of potential running mates. Who else was on the list? he asked quietly, maintaining his usual inscrutable calm. The most favorably regarded contenders after himself, he was told, were John Kasich, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin and Chris Christie. Those are all people on our list, he said. Well, not you, Candy reminded him sharply. That the Trump

Exactly what I was thinking! Thank you
Please, no.
I still like her and am wondering why you think she is polarizing. Could it be because you have bought into the spin that the left has put upon her? "I can see Russia from my back yard!" bullshit? Just wondering.
Plain without McCain’s muzzle? Yes, please. If you are against her, list other people that have more guts.
Plain not plain.
The list could be 500 names long for all we know. Christie and Palin were givens for stumping with Trump. Kasich, Rubio, and Cruz still have delegates that will need to wooed.
If you're floating out a list, I would expect those names to be on "the list". Doesn't mean that any of them will be the selection. Personally, I don't think any of them will.
Errrr autocorrect.
I hope not. She can go out on the campaign trail and fight like McCain wouldn’t let her do, but her time has passed on the higher-office gig.
I really hope that Trump and the Republicans don't sink to the level of Democrats by picking candidates based on what affirmative action boxes can be checked. The type of people this wins over a generally those who vote for Democrats anyway.
YES!!
Sarah Palin would be an excellent VP (or President, for that matter). But I don’t think she wants to put her family through the pain of being destroyed once again by the media.
Better she be chosen for a Cabinet position or other leadership role (if she even wants that; Alaska is mighty beautiful!).
Nope
He could meet with Jim Webb -- or some other Democrat who's not completely bonkers (granted, there aren't very many) and that would be worth another week or two of chattering by the chattering class.
I don’t think so, she would become a giant distraction for the campaign.
Bad choice. She’s lost before....which makes her a “loser”. She couldn’t be elected dogcatcher.
Susana Martinez...
Not just politics, she’s smart!
Please don’t.
Sarah Palin is a total fav on the right; the rest of the country has NO use for her. You don’t get elected by votes from the right only. And, it should be noted, she has done nothing since the ‘08 election to help her image, but has made herself into almost the very caricature the left painted. That was disappointing.
My guess for top 5:
Newt
Sessions
Hunter
Blackburn
Martinez
Christie (6?)
