The New York Times' article published Saturday with the headline "Crossing the Line: How Donald Trump Behaved With Women in Private" begins with an anecdote from a woman named Rowanne Brewer Lane, who as a 26-year-old model was asked by the businessman to put on a swimsuit during their first meeting at a Mar-a-Lago pool party.
"But the 1990 episode at Mar-a-Lago that Ms. Brewer Lane described was different: a debasing face-to-face encounter between Mr. Trump and a young woman he hardly knew. This is the private treatment of some women by Mr. Trump, the up-close and more intimate encounters," the Times wrote.
On Monday morning, Brewer Lane appeared on "Fox & Friends" to dispute the Times' framing of her account.
"Actually, it was very upsetting. I was not happy to read it at all," Brewer Lane said. "Well, because The New York Times told us several times that they would make sure that my story that I was telling came across. They promised several times that they would do it accurately. They told me several times and my manager several times that it would not be a hit piece and that my story would come across the way that I was telling it and honestly, and it absolutely was not."
Asked what the reporters got wrong, Brewer Lane said they took her quotes and "put a negative connotation on it."
"They spun it to where it appeared negative. I did not have a negative experience with Donald Trump, and I don't appreciate them making it look like that I was saying that it was a negative experience because it was not," Brewer Lane said.
Co-host Ainsley Earhardt asked to clarify if Brewer Lane knew him well and that they dated for several months.

I saw part of Morning Joe this AM and they were hitting the Slimes pretty hard for this, said they need to be held accountable.
Great assessment. 100% agree.
“All the news that fits”!
CA....
I don't buy that at all. They knew exactly what they heard, and they simply lied in the way they packaged the info from the interview. The game plan all along has been for the media to make this election about women... since Hillary is a woman. No matter who the R candidate was to be, this election was to be about Hillary the mighty woman against the evil male-dominated world. That's really all she has to run on... she sure as heck can't run on her record.
Everyone on Fox News even always says "Trump has a problem with women voters" which is a lie... but the plan is to repeat that message often enough so some folks believe it.
We saw this game plan before... except it was the race card for Obama. It worked.
That is a good one isn't it. Our former minister who was a Navy Chaplain for 30 years used to repeat the old saying about taking the most flak when you are over the target. When I was watching the news over the weekend there was near hysteria coming from some of the pundits. They are really starting to sense that Trump is going to be our next president and it is freaking them out. This is coming from many of those who typically try to pretend that they are impartial.
Mostly they were trying to say that Trump didn't have the experience or temperament to be president. These were the same people who have been all in for the community disruptor whose only real job before getting into politics was scooping ice cream for Baskin and Robbins as a teen... and he was a failure at that.
wow, the fact that they were 100% wrong and completely lied is hilarious and very telling. When you hear it out of her own mouth it’s clear that they didn’t even TRY to be honest. The media is an absolute joke and a threat to the republic
Yahoo now has a story up on this too (https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-nyt-girlfriend-negative-experience-134316684.html). In addition to the Rowanne Brewer video and quotes, it also includes a tweet from Barbara Res, who used to work for Trump:
Must correct implication of Times article, Trump called me honey bunch as a term of endearment.never took it as a put down because it wasn’t
Looks like the lying, manipulative New York Times is getting its comeuppance for trying to make women who liked Trump look like his victims.
(Ive posted this link elsewhere, but there is a video of an interview with Rowanne Brewer on YouTube that some people might find interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzQM-XJsa1o . Fascinatingly enough, she said that he once asked her in the early 1990s: Do you think I would make a good president? Another good quote that shows how positively she thought of him is: Donald Trump would have no problem getting women if he didnt have a penny, because hes got one of the best personalities of anybody Ive ever met. Yet, the NYT propagandists want people to believe that he took advantage of this poor woman.)
This apparently just got a mention on CNN. Rowanne is a born again Christian, which makes the media hate her even more. I think she’s going to put a crack in the Hillary/MSM plan to convince everyone that Trump is some sort of woman-hater.
All the “Sunday Shows” spent a lot of time on this false story. I suspect the real story from the woman herself will get almost no airtime in comparison. I hope more come out and we get a flood of women saying that the story and stories like it are BS
Can’t wait for The Donald to showcase Slick Willie’s “conquests” and Hillary!’s part in all those attacks on these victims.
There’s not enough popcorn in the world for this!
The Tampa Bay Times has a full page reprint of this NY Times story in today’s paper. The Tampa Bay Times is a mirror image of the NY Times and the same goes for a hundred more newspapers across the country.
It is up to us to hold their feet to the fire. We should place calls to the paper’s ombudsman and/or editor’s office to make sure they correct the record. And all the papers have a way to write a rebuttal to an article.
Don’t be discouraged; keep the pressure up and fight the lies.
Meanwhile, the media is also trying to push the narrative that Trump’s success in the primaries is because the media was too nice to him.
Meanwhile, on another planet, Juannita Broderick, Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones,...
I bet that twit hates women so much he won’t even sleep with them.
Trump should announce a major lawsuit aimed at putting them out of business. Serious dollars. They better watch their @$$. Obviously he had the best lawyers money can buy. This is clearly defamation of character. In Trump’s world, that should be worth about a billion $.
“Only a blithering, drooling idiot would believe anything the Slimes and WaPo prints about Trump.”
I’ve seen fellow conservatives who are anti trump suddenly cite the ny times and the washington post and other liberal media outlets as if they were gospel all of the sudden. When i criticized one conservative group for citing a CNN anti trump article i got criticized in return for questioning the reliability of a “respectable” news organization.
Excuse me? Since when did CNN become “respectable” in conservative circles?
I an surprised the Politico put out this article.
