Donald Trump is considering former House Speaker Newt Gingrich as one possible option for his running mate in November, according to a source familiar with the discussions...

Gingrich has praised Trump in the past, telling TIME he has “the potential to be an extraordinarily dynamic president who shakes up a bureaucratic city that badly needs to be shaken up.”

"between them, how many wives?"

Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines so obviously God was wrong to bless him and grant him wisdom.

Bull-shit! Newt could tie circles around 99.9% of the body politic. Watch a little NEWSMAX TV, and you’ll see a patriot and spouse, telling it like it is- on attacks on America!

THAT- doesn’t mean Newt is Trump’s # 1 VP selection- it just means to put your obvious prejudice regrading Newt, on ice.

Best choice he could make, someone who can in 4 years get 8 years of change thru congress.

Newt is a genius, and has vision like Trump. Together Trump and Newt have compatible skills and experience.

Newt is also a Foreign Policy expert, will help Trump. Newt will know how to deal with a nincompoop like Ryan.

Some people will ask how 2 big ego’s will get along. Trump is best friends with Icahn and he has many other powerful rich friends, you get along well with peers. Trump isn’t a jealous man, Trump is a secure man. So is Newt. I think they will be fine.

Its better to go for competence than balance, race, geographic, female. We need to make America Great Again and that take Competence.

Trump’s own words:
“I’d be going for a political person, because I don’t need a business person, I need a political person. Somebody that can deal with the hill, that can deal with Congress, that can get things done and get things passed.”

He’s not looking for any geopolitical advantage. He needs someone to get his things done.

I like Newt, but my money is still on Jeff Sessions.

I’ve always liked Newt. He is very smart and has the experience. Nothing wrong with his age. We need wisdom and experience to turn this country around. I’ve no problem here.

Hey! How about we get this sinking ship turned around before we start worrying about a future president. We need intellect and experience NOW because if we don’t do our best now, there won’t be any president down the road. America will be finished! I prefer Jeff Sessions, but Newt is a good pick as well. Most of the younger Congress are still wet behind the ears or Rinos. EXCEPTION, Duncan Hunter. Seasoned, solid, great patriot and conservative AND a chip off the old block.

Piss Poor reason to pick a veep by his age. Reagan pretty well destroyed the age question with his “experience”. That one statement probably cinched his election.
