I agree that he needs some with legislative experience, but Dr. Carson would be great for the administration, possibly as the head of Health and Human Services. That is probably the most powerful cabinet post.

As for "Tone"...the nation faces grave danger....and I want someone in the White House that is not concerned about "Tone"
As and Oklahoma resident, and having a certain level of admiration for her, I would have to respectfully submit, NO.
She has done a fair job in Oklahoma, but governs too closely to the RINO vibe IMHO. From my perspective, she is apt to cave to moneyed interest group pressure. She also unfortunately has some baggage in her personal life which has not precluded her from Oklahoma governorship, but might create problems for a presidential ticket.
NO way. Trump needs a VP who can kick a** and take names and that is not Carson. Could be useful in a medical post or part of a team to overhaul the VA system after everyone currently involved in its management is fired.
His temperament might be a balance to Trump’s bolder mannerisms. I hate to play identity politics but he might impact the black vote.
There’s merit to this, although, if identity politics is the game a female would be interesting too.
Ben Carson, although certainly an accomplished man and a decent man, is not a leader.

I’m not sure why people who have no leadership skills seek the highest position of leadership that this country has.
There were a whole bunch of people in the Republican field who sought this position, and almost every one of them lacked so thoroughly any leadership qualities or skills.

His skills are in other fields.

The VP is the President of the Senate. Carson has no legislative eperience. He would be good in a cabinet position.
Yes, I see your point. Guess I just got all touchy-feeling, thinking about Carson pulling in some of the black vote.
Am I opposed to the idea? Well, let me put it this way, I wouldn’t vote for Hillary over it. Allen West would be a FAR superior choice, in my opinion. I know Newt is a popular choice, but honestly, 4 years ago I would have welcomed it, today...eh, not so thrilled.
