Ryan is one of those with such potential, but he’s shown nothing since getting the VP nod. He did a great job on 2011 and 12 presenting a course of action. Then we went AWOL and sucked into the DC blob.

My bet it’s Rooney/Bush financiers.
Everybody, Nehlen has very little chance of unseating Ryan. What Ryan “gushed” is what others have said after meeting with Trump behind closed doors. Instead of reading cynicism or timidity into Ryan’s statement, how about just accepting it for now at face value and as a possible step toward a Trump win, along with down-ballot candidates.
Did Ryan just have a learning moment, where he had a vision of himself with a cardboard sign, under a viaduct...?
