Five people were shot at a bus stop in Chicago's Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side.
Police said a group of people were waiting at the bus stop near West 71st and South State streets just after 8 p.m. Wednesday when several people ran up to them and opened fire. They fled in a getaway vehicle.

Chicago makes the bar scene in the original Star Wars seem like a pacifist meeting...what a classic example of the “FILTH AND VILLANY” of a DemcRat-destroyed city. SOS.

If the busses aren’t safe, inner cities will quickly descend into chaos. There’s no other way for people in challenged neighborhoods to get the goods and services they need, since those areas have been pretty much abandoned.

I will not give the slightest consideration to gun control laws until i see a MASSIVE no nonsense effort at pacifying Chicago and other such places.

Back in the U.S.A. back in the bad old daysHow many remember that song from the summer of 1974?
Hint. It's not "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown"
Anyway, I work in New York City because Chicago is just too dangerous for me.

I didn’t remember it until I looked it up, and even then I didn’t recognize it until I listened to it.
Thanks for the reminder.

If this keeps up, there’s going to a lot of cheap land in Chicago, who the hell would want to live there let alone go there?
I used to travel to Chicago a lot (in my working days) and it was a pretty neat place to go, good food(s), entertainment, friendly people of all races, safe to walk around at night in downtown, etc. but you would catch me there now. What the hell is wrong with their leaders, do they want another Detroit?

Love that song. Only these are even worse days. Cops claim they’re looking for a motive. Snort, they know there isn’t a motive. It was a gang thing and starting out the weekend early.

Jim Croce's wife Ingrid has a nice restaurant in downtown San Diego. It is named Croce's. She had a small shop inside the shopping center where I encountered their son A.J. working when I was out for lunch during jury duty. A.J. is a pretty good musician as well.

Yes, that was "The Night Chicago Died" by Paper Lace from England. A number one smash from the summer of 1974.
Interestingly, Paper Lace originally put out "Billy, Don't Be A Hero", which was a number one hit for Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods here in the U.S.
Paper Lace's version was number one in England but Bo Donaldson beat them to it over here.
