Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney blasted Donald Trump on Wednesday after his successor hinted that it is unlikely he will release his tax returns before the November election.
"It is disqualifying for a modern-day presidential nominee to refuse to release tax returns to the voters, especially one who has not been subject to public scrutiny in either military or public service," Romney wrote in Facebook post.
"There is only one logical explanation for Mr. Trump's refusal to release his returns," he wrote Wednesday. "There is a bombshell in them. Given Mr. Trump's equanimity with other flaws in his history, we can only assume it's a bombshell of unusual size."

Does the Constitution say anything about tax returns being a requirement for President? no it does NOT. It talks about Natural born citizenship and minimum age and possibly a couple other basic requirements. That’s all.

Mitt is really obsessing over Trump’s success like he’s suffering from some mental disorder. He’s apparently so envious and jealous that he’s trying and trying to damage Trump’s candidacy. Beyond pathetic and despicable.
Candidates are not required to release tax returns. Sometimes, it’s better to let some voters draw an inference about why a candidate refuses than to let those voters see too much about personal finances. Only the candidate can weigh the pluses and minuses because he knows better than anyone what is in the returns.
