Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney blasted Donald Trump on Wednesday after his successor hinted that it is unlikely he will release his tax returns before the November election.
"It is disqualifying for a modern-day presidential nominee to refuse to release tax returns to the voters, especially one who has not been subject to public scrutiny in either military or public service," Romney wrote in Facebook post.
"There is only one logical explanation for Mr. Trump's refusal to release his returns," he wrote Wednesday. "There is a bombshell in them. Given Mr. Trump's equanimity with other flaws in his history, we can only assume it's a bombshell of unusual size."

Maybe he’s campaigning to be Crooked Hillary’s running mate.
Not true. The IRS has an agenda, have you been in the dark? Acting like they are the good guys after what they did to the conservative PACs & Jewish organizations is just disingenuous.
IRS concentrate on audit high $ returns because that’s where the money is. They try and force you to use the tax calculation method that will net them the most $ even if there are other legal methods and the courts have found that you are entitled to use the method that generates the least tax. Its ridiculous to pretend that multiyear audits are not common. There is advice on how to manage them on every tax lawyer blog.
One example:
Multiyear Tax Audits How to Try to Contain a Tax Audit
Unfortunately, sometimes during a tax audit you may have an overeager IRS, EDD, BOE, or FTB agent who is trying to find any issue they can with your tax return information in order to try to expand the audit. This is called mushrooming and it occurs when the audit for one or two years is expanded into a multi-year audit. While there is no way to definitively prevent an audit from mushrooming, there are ways to try to limit the audit from expanding.
The only reason anyone wants to see them is to find something to criticize the candidate about. Why feed them?
And so, Willtard “Mittwit” Wrongley has an ugly streak in him? Too bad it’s only shown up against Repubs.
This is the same crap foisted on us for decades. There are all of these ‘rules’ for what qualifies or disqualifies one for President. They are a bunch of crap. If its not in the constitution, then it doesn’t matter! Taxes are simply used to manufacture dirt on a candidate and create narratives. FUMR.
FUMR!
Hey MYTH; please just go FO and die.
I would like to add a PS to your statement if I may.
MYTH; SHUT UP, IF WE WANT YOUR OPINION WE WILL BEAT IT OUT OF YOU.
If you’re on FB, read Romney’s page. The public is trashing him in response to these comments. You will love it.
So; vote for cruz if you want to.
What other people earn is none of Mittens’ business or mine.
Trump never worked in government before unlike Mittens who worked in it nearly his entire life.
Being a career politician isn’t a disqualification? It should be.
Now if only the Freepers nagging us folks who voted for Romney that we didn’t will shut up and go away.
Maybe if they were real conservatives things would be different.
Winner, winner chicken dinner.
This has nothing to do with Conservatism.
For Romney and Ryan, it’s all about keeping the law away from the money. Common crooks, really.
If Trump releases his returns, why would he be under an obligation to release amended returns? Who cares about those idiots? Everyone knows that complicated returns often have adjustments after an audit. What is much more likely is that if Trump doesn't release his tax returns, people are going to assume he has something to hide.
IRS policy in the age of Lois Lerner?
Thanks for the laugh.
That’s the one
We did not care about seeing Romney’s taxes nor do we care about Trumps.
