Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump believes that leading Southern Baptist Convention ethicist Russell Moore is a "truly a terrible representative" of Evangelicalism.
The Manhattan billionaire businessman-turned-politician, who frequently takes to Twitter to attack the character of his critics and opponents, lashed out at the president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission with a sharply worded tweet Monday morning.
"@drmoore Russell Moore is truly a terrible representative of Evangelicals and all of the good they stand for. A nasty guy with no heart!" Trump tweeted at 5:05 a.m. EST Monday morning.

If Trump (I know, big if but I’ll take him at his word) closes the border, deports illegals and restricts Muslim immigration and brings back jobs, then we will have a country to pursue the important social issues.
If none of these things happen we will lose our country and social issues will be even further from our ability to change.
It is simple for me - who is most likely to aggressively attack every Godly principle this country was founded on - Hillary or Trump? Which of the two is most likely to attack any Bible-preaching church?
Then I say, “GO TRUMP GO!” - even though I was a serious Cruz supporter until the day he dropped out!
Besides, this Southern Baptist is disgusted by the SBC’s leadership drive to tear down our borders.
Russell Moore has been extremely nasty to Mr. Trump. He was part of the National Review Gang who smeared Mr. Trump, and he has proven over and over again, to be a PANDERING ELITIST who takes the left wing side of many arguments, including the Confederate flag, and unlimited illegal immigration into our nation.
His organization is partly funded by GEORGE SOROS, to give you an idea of how much he is in opposition to traditional American values.
Do your research and learn about this charlatan! He deserves to be outed as the vile creature he really is, and Mr. Trump is just the man to do it!

I look at it like this: Trump says he is pro-life. On all of the other social issues, he is probably quite weak and mostly uninterested. To the extent he has an opinion, it is probably to allow the states to decide for themselves (a la the toilet cross-dresser issue). In my opinion, this is way, way better than Hillary because we know she is an active leftist who will stack the administration with other leftist activists all of whom will be pushing a far left social agenda. I hope everyone can see the difference here. The second part of the analysis has to be the country’s survival depends not only on social issues (which it does) but on other issues as well, such as immigration, trade, military policy, regulation, taxes .... I think that Trump is vastly better on all of these issues. Look, this is not at all like choosing from a hundred applicants who want to become pastor of your church. This is about a binary choice that is either Trump or Hillary. Period. Hold his feet to the fire, sure, but at the end of the day, there is no comparison.

I am not looking for Billy Graham to be my President.
After what I have had to vote for in the past 25 years to keep evil at bay, I realize that I have been played by the GOP along with other Christians and conservatives.
Trump unmasked all that.
Trump dispatched Low Energy Jeb, Li’l Marco and Lyin’ Ted Cruz—he did a tremendous service to the nation getting rid of these three establishment candidates(yes-Cruz was an establishment candidate).
Trump’s positions on his website are quite thorough and well thought out, contrary to the daily spin of the media.
You and I grew up in the shadow of NYC, so Trump and his demeanor are not strange to us. His past is no mystery.
He is a man of accomplishment,and has built a tremendous company known world-wide.
God used Cyrus 2500 years ago to free the Hebrews from the reign of Babylon. God named him 150 years before he was even born, in Isaiah. God used Cyrus, a non-believer, to accomplish His purposes.
Trump is our Cyrus, and although his beliefs may not be as well-formed as yours and mine, I see no evidence of evil intent.
The alternative, Hillary Clinton, is the very personification of evil. Her election would spiral this nation into a moral abyss even worse than today. A civil war could erupt as a result.
Even now, the fabric of our nation is severely frayed.
I will not inflict her on my countrymen by failing to vote for Trump in November.
Trump is 70 years old next month.
He has money, fame, a wonderful family, including grandchildren.
He wants to make America great again.
I want that too, for my children and their children, should the Lord tarry.
Trump has no need to take the slings and arrows he has, and the daily trashing by lesser men and women, nor does he have a need to prove anything any longer.
And he has paid for the privilege out of his own pocket to the tune of about $50 million dollars. The prospect of having someone who cannot be bought in the Oval Office appeals to me.
I want Trump because he is a proven executive, and the President is supposed to be executive running the government.
I have had enough of professional politicians and lawyers who have never run a business or signed the front of a paycheck. The present political class has ruined us and stolen our future.
Lastly, I want Trump because he will support the nation of Israel. Hillary Clinton will not. She will throw down with the Muslims, as she has proven in her disastrous reign of error as the Secretary of State.
Should we not support Israel, we will incur the wrath reserved for those who curse Israel, and rightly so. You are probably amazed as I am, that we haven’t been judged already after sacrificing over 60 million of our children on the altar of abortion.
Having already lived through eight years of a Clinton, I can see no future with another one.
With Trump, I have hope for a better future, a hope I have not had with a GOP candidate since 1984.
God bless you, my friend, and your wonderful family. The Lord has been good to both of us. As we entire our senior years we have so many testimonies of His goodness to us and to those we love.

He understands loyalty to a people's continuity--clearly what the context of the Fifth Commandment looks to. (How can anyone read it in any other way!) He understands that moral responsibility starts with your relations with those with whom you share the daily struggle--he communities you live in. He realizes that the real issues of what is best for the people our politicians, as well as our soldiers--and even us lawyers--are sworn to protect, are sacred! They cannot be betrayed--certainly not morally--for some sort of fantasy of a world that denies the realities of life.
I realize some religious people feel a calling to go out and help other nations materially--as well, of course, as spiritually. By no construction of anything ever found in scripture, can that possibly justify stealing your neighbor's birthright in the pursuit. It is not just about honoring your lineage. Stealing & Coveting are also condemned.
Trump went on reality TV shows and pro-wrestling because he likes that garbage. Which is bizarre, at least in my opinion.
On the other hand, I tend to think he is probably very kind to those he comes across in his daily life that can do absolutely nothing for him. Not just the celebutards from the reality TV but drivers, doormen, waitresses all seem to invariably dig him. I figure there would be tons of stories about him being a rich jerk if it ever happened. It is a very redeemable trait, at least in my opinion.
In any case he is better than Clinton, I mean come on.

I was a Cruz supporter. I had people saying I should be banned from FreeRepublic. I still strongly dislike Donald Trump.
But in the end, either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump will become the next US President. And Hillary actively opposes everything good about the USA. She loves sexual perversion and loathes Christians. We recently amended our SBC church’s constitution to specifically state we will only perform or recognize marriages between a biologically born male and a biologically born female. We did so because of Hillary and her agenda to destroy Christianity.
On the front lines, a soldier doesn’t look at the people behind him. He looks toward the enemy.

Is Trump capable of accepting any constructive criticism without lashing out? Most evangelicals just want to be assured they are voting for someone that will defend their right to religious liberty and not be threatened by the hard left nutjob types that want to force you to bake a cake for their homo wedding. Instead of giving tit for tat, Trump should be the better man and try to convince people that he will support their values.
I suspect “Always A Marine” understands “duty”. So do I.
Russell Moore doesn’t even know who the enemy is. Not sure he ever did. It is a sign of spiritual blindness that he has been given a loud voice in the SBC.

I think Moore may be unpleasantly surprised when God judges him for his stewardship. I’m not going to be voting for a pastor in November. And anyone who loses sight of the enemy has no business giving advice to anyone else!
