New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Human Rights Commission released Friday new guidelines forcing bartenders in the city to serve pregnant mothers alcohol.
The guidelines say discriminatory “stereotypes” about what is in the best interest of the health of the “fetus” are impermissible by law.
“Judgments and stereotypes about how pregnant individuals should behave, their physical capabilities and what is or is not healthy for a fetus are pervasive in our society and cannot be used as a pretext for unlawful discriminatory decisions in employment, housing, and public accommodations,” the guidelines state.
The new guidelines were issued to clarify the New York City Human Rights Law, which bars discrimination “on the basis of pregnancy or perceived pregnancy,” according to the guidelines.
The guidelines provide examples of actions that constitute discrimination toward the pregnant, one of which is “a restaurant policy that prohibits staff from serving pregnant individuals raw fish or alcohol.”

First of all, what does the city care if a restaurant is looking out for the welfare of its customers?

What if the "fetus" is female...or "of color"....or "gay"....or "transgendered"?

I have always thought it overboard to ban all drinking in pregnant mothers. A beer, or a margarita or a glass of wine or two is fine as far as I am concerned. Getting all fally downy is another thing all together.
So what’s stopping them form serving kids? Some antiquated, judgmental law that says kids are too young to drink?
I always thought that bars could refuse service to ANYONE.
Does the baby get asked what he wants to drink?

This nutbag makes Nanny Bloomberg look rational! My suggestion is that the money it takes to care for these poor unfortunate children afflicted with fetal alcohol syndrome should come directly out of this dirtbag’s pockets.
I am now convinced that de Blasio is certifiable insane.
And don’t drive without wearing your seatbelt.
To abortion lovers, it doesn’t matter if the baby gets sucked out of the womb or killed by alcohol..too bad De Blasio’s mother didn’t drink when she was pregnant with that piece of garbage
