I have always thought it overboard to ban all drinking in pregnant mothers. A beer, or a margarita or a glass of wine or two is fine as far as I am concerned. Getting all fally downy is another thing all together.

Are you suggesting that a fetus should be able to consume alcohol before they are even born?!!! Why, I never.....

So have I. And I think doctors would probably agree. But as with everything else they do, their decisions are motivated by the fear of a lawsuit.

I can just see stupid women whose doctor says a drink is okay overdoing it, winding up with a fetal alcohol baby and then suing the doctor because after all he said she could drink.
