I so agree. I remember when I was little - we didn’t have much money, so wasn’t like a lot of kids today that get almost everything they want. I couldn’t wait for my birthdays and Christmases because I knew I’d get presents, including a doll and some clothes. It seemed like it took forever for the holidays to get there. My mom would say enjoy your time now and the holidays will come soon enough, when you get older time goes by too quickly. She was so right (as she often was) - I don’t know where the time goes!
Seems like we just had Christmas and it’s Mother’s Day already!

“I was surprised he picked Eugene, the place leans so far to the left people need special shoes just to walk upright ;-)”

Hahahaha. Trump is not afraid to go right into the heart of the beast.

Good. I want that horrific Romney wench that runs that thing to be tarred and feathered before this is over.

And, by the way, isn't it interesting how so many of these "never" fools are directly connected to Mitt Romney?

In other breaking news: Our esteemed Speaker of the House has announced that Trump will meet with House Republicans next Thursday.

I hope he brings Paul Nehlen along as a guest.

Good rant, though it was on the mild side.

It’s becoming trendy. The old department store that burned down in 2008 is now a hotel and brewpub. The shuttered hotel across the street has reopened with a fine German restaurant on the first floor.

Trump knows better than to come to Seattle. It would be Chicago all over again.

NM - I think most of us are angry at and frustrated with Ryan and McConnell (and many other congress critters). Congratulations to you for sending that to Ryan - thank you!!

Contractors can be awful! IIRC you were having some work done in your basement. I know that laws very from state to state, but at least have fairly strict about disclosure laws for homes. Not sure if you have any recourse - though then you’d have to hire an attorney, and some of them can be another issue all together (lots of money, don’t do squat). I’m sorry you have to deal with all of this - remodeling and repairs can be some real headaches (as well as huge costs).

I’ve basically been dieting since I was about 13. My behind wasn’t nearly as big as the Kardashians and other and now it’s “in”, back then, not so much. I don’t think I’ve ever been skinny - though a couple of times in my life people have told me I was (usually happened because of extreme stress). I would say I’m “medium” now (my sister says I’m petite, but I don’t think so), but need to firm up. I’ve noticed since I quit working (looking for a job right now), I’m not walking nearly as much and it’s making a difference. I hate to exercise (even though I did it at times in the past, and once I got into it, I liked it) but need to start walking more. It’s amazing what a difference it can make to one’s mind and body and it doesn’t take all that much. You may want to think about putting some tunes that you like on your cell phone or just walk (I did it to clear my mind between meetings, etc. - just kinda thought what happened and/or what I wanted to say in the next one - or just daydreamed). IMHO walking can be therapeutic and one doesn’t have to go far - just a suggestion. And, I need to do it - LOL! Have been doing a little, but need to do more.

We in the Trump Family are friends and we’re here for each other - we should feel able to “vent” any time. Venting is good :-)

You’re a beautiful person with a wonderful heart and we love you!

Hope the rest of the day and your weekend goes better! :-)

Oh, I agree! Look what the idiots did the other day downtown. I had no idea it was going on and I wasn’t far from it at a party. I’d love to have him at Century Link or Safeco, but I just don’t think it’s safe for him or the supporters.

I heard he was coming to the Puget Sound area. I think the Kent or Auburn area would be safer. I was thinking possibly the Seattle Metro Eastside, but the protesters just need to get across 1 of the floating bridges and the largest venue is Meydenbauer. Possibly Everett or Bremerton (both have Navy bases). Definitely not Olympia - it’s a cess pool with the Dims in the State gov’t and the radicals at Evergreen College - can’t get more leftists than they are (Bernie is probably to the right of some of them).

I may have to wait and hope he comes out here again and make travel arrangements accordingly.

He should have a decent turnout in Spokane as the eastside of the state is fairly conservative.

Home town. I just googled Speaker Of The House and sent him an email. Make sure to uncheck the box for his updates otherwise you’ll get spam.

I may have to come up there some time. Haven’t had decent German food in a few years and don’t know of any places in the area. My favorite restaurant at Disney World in FL was in Epcot - a German place - great buffet and fun German band (though my nephew, who was young at the time, wore me out on the dance floor ;-)

There was a German restaurant we used to go to in Denver (not sure if it’s there any longer or not). Great food, great band. One of the family friends was a great polka dancer and we always had a fun time.

YOWSA! That’s YUGE news IMHO. IIRC Cheney had some not flattering things to say about Trump a while back. Love it - Bushes won’t endorse but Cheney will.

BTW - I’ve heard his daughter on and off talking about the ME, and I believe she was in the State Dept in the Bush admin. She’s impressed me - seems very knowledgeable (though I think KT McFarland is the best).
