Sen. Ted Cruz dropped out of the presidential race on Tuesday, making it almost certain that Donald Trump will win the GOP nomination and face Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders in November. For those who've been in denial that this day could ever come, we figured a refresher course on the real estate developer's musings about climate and energy might be in order.
On the basic science: "I am not a great believer in man-made climate change," Trump told the Washington Post editorial board in March. "If you look, they had global cooling in the 1920s and now they have global warming, although now they don't know if they have global warming."
The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive.
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 06, 2012 This very expensive GLOBAL WARMING bullshit has got to stop. Our planet is freezing, record low temps, and our GW scientists are stuck in ice
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 02, 2014 A panel of scientists ranked all the then-presidential candidates' public remarks on climate for the Associated Press last November. Trump got 15 pointsout of 100.
On climate versus weather: When it was "really cold outside" last October, Trump tweeted that we "could use a big fat dose of global warming!"
On the kind of climate change he is worried about: "I think our biggest form of climate change we should worry about is nuclear weapons." Interpretation: unclear.
On the Environmental Protection Agency: "We're going to get rid of so many different things," Trump said in a February debate. "Environmental protectionwe waste all of this money. We're going to bring that back to the states." But only if he can figure out what the EPA is. Trump said he would eliminate some agency called "Department of Environmental. I mean, the DEP is killing us environmentally, it's just killing our businesses."
On clean energy:
Not only are wind farms disgusting looking, but even worse they are bad for people's health bit.ly/I9Dl8k (cont) tl.gd/h46200
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 23, 2012 Wind turbines are a scourge to communities and wildlife. They are environmental disasters.
Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 23, 2012 On clean energy when campaigning in clean-energy-heavy states: Trump told an Iowa voter that he's okay with wind subsidies. "It's an amazing thing when you thinkyou know, where they can, out of nowhere, out of the wind, they make energy."
On the Paris climate accord signed by 175 countries: "One of the dumbest things I've ever heard in politicsin the history of politics as I know it."
Once again Trump has nailed it.
The climate does change over the millenia and fluctuates in the short term, but the worst possible thing is to hand over to politicians the responsibility of controlling the climate with your tax dollars.
Long Island is the “terminal moraine” from that glacier.
Somehow I agree with Trump to some extent. However, when driving through northeast Iowa and seeing huge boulders that were laid down by glaciers, I realize that we probably have been in a warming trend. After all no glaciers are now present anywhere in Iowa. Somehow, I think that is a good thing.
As a confirmed Cruz supporter, I now fully believe in global warming, just so that I’m not on the same side as Trump.

Nobody has yet mentioned that China laughs us off when it comes to carbon footprints. I’m not encouraging mass pollution by anyone, but China (and Mexico) pour that crap into the skies like nobody’s business while American companies are held in check or downright punished.
Then the companies that have to deal with restrictive regulations are trying to compete with those that don’t. Another reason companies leave this country.
I’d add a third....Mega Billion$$$ for the money changers (Goldman Sucks, JP Morgan Chase etc.) in the selling of Carbon Tax credit derivatives.
I hope he won’t back down from this position in the debates with Hillary.
“He is right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my will Loretta Lynch come after him now”
LOL she won’t go near him. He brooms her day one for breaking federal laws.
The invented religion of the left.... Makes stupid people give up their luxury items “to save the earth” thus kicking capitalism to the curb

Isn’t it great? A politician who speaks the truth and ain’t afraid to say it
I disagree with Trump on more than a few of the things he SAYS, but I agree with him 100% on this. If he believes it, and can actually say it out loud, I will vote for him nearly on the basis of that alone.
I have shoveled bullshxt, cowshxt, pig sty muck, and horsecrap...
I can tell you which is which with a blindfold on...even though it was over 50 years ago.
My guess is Trump is calling like he smells it.
I agree with him.
