That’s a pretty cool present, for sure.
My dad sent his telescope to me a couple of years ago because he was too sick to use it any more. It’s been out a few times but like your problem, it’s cloudy, windy or wet when there’s something I’d like to check out. Even on clear nights, a lot of times it’s so humid only the brightest stars are visible.
We’ll get to play with our telescopes eventually. :-)

He can’t be gone soon enough! No forgiveness here for what he’s done to our military. They deserve SO much better.

I brought her home seafood salad by request and she just finished. 3 friends are coming over Saturday...bringing lunch and they will visit for a couple hours. I told the #1 friend, 12 to 3p max. She gets tired and that is usually her nap time.
And 3 other talkers will be a problem as she can’t hear, but whatever is fine. The other ladies will bring food (I emailed last night a few ideas/choices.) She told me what they were bringing and it’s something she really likes...the meatball sub from Subway. I wonder how she knew. LOL!
She keeps talking and I can’t hear from the other room so I’m running back and forth. Yesterday when I asked if she needed anything...nothing for Saturday. Now she wants cookies and chips....which I keep for “just in case” .

Ooo, yum! Seafood salad. Tummy just growled and said, “Want!” LOL!
Good. She’ll have company for a while Sat. and you can get rid of some more stuff without her even knowing. No guilt trip to throw at you. :-) Will your brother still be around to help again or will he head out for TN before then?
It sounds like she’s looking forward to the get-together with her friends. Something for her to think about and occupy her mind. She’ll probably think of a couple more things she wants to have on hand between now and then.

I take my brother to the airport Friday afternoon. He’s going to Georgia. Then on the 10th he takes a truck to Tennessee to close up the house and arrange for the boat to get to Georgia. His wife was going with him, but her daughter is having some kind of surgery and she will be doing some babysitting.
She IS looking forward to the visit. I’m glad!

Ah well, at least you had his help with the garage for one weekend and got a lot of stuff out.
You told me before that he was going to GA first, THEN to TN but I forgot. He’s got a busy time ahead. Moving that big boat is going to be another eye-popping ordeal. LOL! At least they won’t have snow to deal with this time.
Your mom’s outlook seems more positive these days and that’s good. These visits with her friends probably help a lot.
