TOWNSEND, Mass. A 225-pound pig that attacked and seriously injured a man less than two hours after attacking a woman at a Massachusetts farm will be put down.
Townsend Police Chief Robert M. Eaton Jr. said his department was investigating "two very unfortunate farm incidents" in the town about 50 miles northwest of Boston.
Police and emergency responders were called to the farm Tuesday evening for a report of an injured woman.
"I need an ambulance. My husband is not home and my pig just literally attacked me," Shannon Hernandez told a 911 dispatcher.
"Your what?" the dispatcher asked.
"My pig," Shannon Hernandez repeated.

I worked on a hog farm in the summer of 1971 and we sent truckloads of hogs that size to the packing plant in town. You’re just wasting feed after that.
I have seen a sow eating a dead piglet. One should not relax around animals that can hurt you.
Bill Clinton just got back from Arkansas and flew in on Air Force One, and had two razorback pigs in his hands. One of his Secret Service agents said, Why do you have two razorback pigs sir? Clinton replied, Well I got this one for Chelsea, and this one for Mrs. Clinton. To which the agent said, Excellent trade sir!
Alan Ford explains it to the boys.
A word to the wise. Keep the pig in a pen.
Stay out of the pen.
How hard is that to grasp?
Kill the pig? Why?
If you want to eat it, fine.
As a punishment? Good grief...
Pigs can be very nasty!
He was working on his Ham Hop album...
It is a freaking pig. You don’t need to pay someone to put it down. If it was my killer pig I would give it a nice last day, let it eat good food and after that I would shoot it in the head. The I would roast it in the pit, invite a bunch of neighbors over for roast pig and wine. End of problem.
There is an old tale about a Texas ranch hand who went off to a corner of the hog pasture to take care of nature’s call, and while he was squatting, the pigs ate him....
You don’t want to fall down on the feed floor, because if you are unable to get back up, pigs demonstrate they also love bacon.
Yours.
Pigs are omnivores, and very crafty predators.
And they never stop growing, which is why there are 1,200 pound Hogzillas running through the woods from time to time.
No pig has ever died of old age. Circulatory problems, and even cancer, and other larger predators (including other pigs), most pigs die a violent death at a relatively early age. Most pigs that go to market are five and a half to six months old.
maybe the pig thought they were muslim
mmmmmm sausages!!!!!
all kidding aside, they can be dangerous...remember the scene from the wizard when dorothy falls into the pig pen?
my mom commented one time “them hogs are mean”. She grew up on a farm in Winterset, IA. in the ‘30’s-’40’s
I heard stories that the mob used pigs to get rid of bodies
Pigs do that. They’re very aggressive animals, even the sows. You look like dinner to them.
Forget Charlotte’s Web...
Was Ole Lady Clinton involved?
PIAPS = Pig in a Pant Suit
... had better not ham it up.
Yes. When that movie was released people understood how much danger she was in. Today they see commercials with people walking pigs. They have no idea. They don't hunt wild pigs just for meat or sport. Feral hogs are even more dangerous and aggressive and need to be controlled.
A friend of mine has a pygmy pig named Cersei, and Cersei will bite any exposed feet that she sees. I worry about the kids in this house because Cersei is bigger than the youngest girl.
