I have seen a sow eating a dead piglet. One should not relax around animals that can hurt you.

A friend of mine has a pygmy pig named Cersei, and Cersei will bite any exposed feet that she sees. I worry about the kids in this house because Cersei is bigger than the youngest girl.

I remember a sow coming after my dad when I was just a kid.
He just made it over the fence with just a bit of his pants left in her teeth. Scared the heck out of me!
Not just the attack, but the horrible noise when she charged.
Also seeing my big daddy so threatened!
I wouldn’t go into the pig pen after that and still don’t like them.
My oldest daughter, farmer, loves her piggers and keeps their quarters so clean you can’t tell they’re in the barn.
My kids came home w/scramble pigs, too.
One we could NOT keep penned. You may not believe it but pigs CAN climb!
The first time he got out we figured that he must have climbed up an old leaning apple tree that was near the fence.
He traveled across the road and was rooting up the neighbor’s hayfield and aai knew that wouldn’t be appreciated so I told the kids to shut him in the horse trailer.
Nest thing I know, there he is, back across the road and that time the farmer saw him!
Well, He didn’t believe me that that pig could climb but said one of his hands had offered to buy the critter for a roast if we’d catch him and bring him over and put him in the corn crib.
Did that.
The next day he called to apologize for doubting a pig could climb.
Seems when the hand went to go home, he looked in the corn crib and NO PIG! He asked if we had brought it over and the farmer said he’d seen us put it in there.
They both went back to look and that time it made a noise and there it was, clear up by the roof of the crib!
They may not be able to fly but I assure you they can climb.
