AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he's not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that's Rush, for those in Rio Linda), the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back - just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America's anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A real man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander-in-Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do - host. Get ready to what you were born to do - listen. And post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread.

“With his face down in a plate of orange Cheetos.”

I just saw a picture of that. He looks like he is insane. Did he really think that would change votes?

Isn't that awful? Every move in a Yankees game is brought to you by some company or other. It's bad enough having to listen to Waldman and Sterling without suffering through all of those commercials.

The Red Sox announcers (who I like a lot better) weave commercials into their commentary, but it's not as bad as the way the Yankees' announcers do it.

It’s more than not bright. It’s exposing him as a tremendous hypocrite.

How many times, even in his recent pro-Cruz ravings, has he said that we need to fully get behind the candidate because the real aim is to defeat Hillary?

Well, “the candidate” hasn’t even entered his thoughts today. It’s all Cruz, all the time.

He praised Trump when he thought Trump would flame out and not attract support but not before he undermined the establishment candidates. While he killed the establishment, he also killed off Cruz. That was not the plan.

“So wrong,how ?”
Rush said a couple of days ago he believed a poll favoring Cruz by 15 points was accurate because he has played golf in Indiana

Rush is going on about why we hate Cruz!

I don't think people started out "hating" Cruz. They hated his hanging on when it was clear that the public sentiment was breaking for Trump.

People hated the unnecessary prolonging of the race that only served to increase the animosity that didn't have to be there.

I'm reposting a short blunt of mine from five weeks ago that I think describes what Cruz brought onto himself.

I think this time the difference is the "bitter clinging" of the candidates that have Freepers on edge.

In the past, the practice seemed to be that candidates with no practical path forward dropped out "for the good of the party." This time, the Party got beat, but the victors haven't resolved amongst themselves how to finish the job.

If "the good of the movement" were the priority, the laggard would drop out to clear the way for the leader. If personal ambition were the priority, then the laggard stays in and hopes for either a fumble by the leader or a bad call by the referees.

Early campaigning here was typical boosting for preferred candidates. It has since turned antagonistic as the candidates became antagonistic as a clear leader began to emerge, but the campaigns became scorched earth instead of "well played" and a gracious exit.

I think tension is heightened by the intransigence of the Cruz and Kasich campaigns. I had hoped some pressure would be released by Rubio's departure, and others would follow his lead as the next primaries played out and paths forward became clearer. This has not happened. The spoiler campaigns have dug in.

Raising tensions even more is the steady news of the GOPe planning to manipulate the process to coopt the voters and wrest control of the convention to insert someone else at the end of the race. Freepers like me see the Cruz and Kasich campaigns as being stooges for a GOPe that individually convinces that the Party will have their back in a floor fight, but fears a reneging when the time comes.

I see the only way to preempt the beaten GOPe as Cruz dropping out so that Trump wins an overwhelming majority of delegates that cannot be tampered with by rules shenanigans. Why Cruz and not Trump? Because Trump has the dominant lead. If the places were reversed, I'd call for Trump to drop out.

For the trailing candidates to not drop out at this point is head-scratching. The motives are clearly personal and Pyrrhic now. We're in "if I can't win, then nobody will" territory. In my opinion, Cruz is becoming Ahab; he's so obsessed with destroying Trump that he's blind to the actual damage that he's causing to the movement to oust the establishment from Washington.

And it is this last "for hate’s sake I spit my last breath at thee" behavior from the lagging Cruz that feels like we're again about to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The main reason many of us can’t stand to listen to Rush, Levin, or the rest is because we are just as smart and just as informed as they are and resent being told how to analyze and think as if were were little children. Now that Rush has allowed his lack of objectivity to become obvious any purpose he might have once served is gone.

Last one out turn off the radio.

Rush is like someone whose dearly beloved has just died. All he wants to do is talk about him.

*****

Maybe he can talk about how the Iowa corn subsidies should have lit a fire under us? Or eminent domain, except when it comes to the Keystone pipeline?

Rush is grieving for himself. He no longer has the juice to sway an election. Same with Levin. I don’t include Beck because he’s ill...

Last week he was telling us what a brilliant campaign strategery Cruz had for beating Jeb and the establishment.

Yet this “brilliant” campaign was unable to compensate for any curve balls thrown at them

Apparently Crazy Glenn Beck thought slapping his face into a plate of Cheetos, and going to the U.S./Mexican border with Ted Cruz to hand out teddy bears and soccer balls to illegals WOULD bring in millions of votes for St. Ted.

Well, now we know how all that assclown crap worked out...

Once Cruz voted for TPP he was done in my house. I voted for him in Texas. Was ready to campaign for him. No. Then an investigation into h1b visas. No

Cruz was going to push the invasion. He’s out

Rush doesn’t see the invasion. Maybe that’s why he gambled and lost. Big loss rush. Hard to come back to yor audience when you’ve been calling two thirds of them a disparaging name

Can’t imagine how he’d come back

I don’t remember it being as bad last year.

Maybe when they get off the hook for A-Roid, they can cut back on the ads ;^)

I had hopes Rush would start trying to rehabilitate himself today.

Start by congratulating Trump. Maybe even point out how important it is to unify the party, beat Hillary, etc.

Nope.

He’s really lost it.

Just... Wow...

:(

As a near 20 year dedicated listener, I’ve been finding myself turning to the oldies stations more and more before Rushs first hour is up.

Cruz revealed a major problem when it was announced that Neil Bush was joining his campaign.

His numbers plummeted after that.

People began to put 2 and 2 together and see more Bush family/GOPestablishment influence in the Cruz campaign.

Add in TPP, Goldman-Sachs, etc.

Drip drip drip

Perhaps rush knows he is done, so it’s probably just all sour grapes against those who disagree with him and have abandoned him.
