A number of prominent Republicans are vowing to never back Donald Trump even as he closes in on the GOP presidential nomination.
The Never Trump ranks include lawmakers, party operatives, pundits and GOP donors and the movement even sparked a popular hashtag on social media.
They are convinced Trump as standard-bearer would lead the GOP to a devastating defeat in November, costing the party the Senate and potentially the House.
The real estate mogul, though, is marching ahead, and now has 994 of the 1,237 delegates needed to capture the nomination, according to the Associated Press.
And there are growing signs many in the GOP establishment are warming to Trump. Hes been endorsed by 11 lawmakers, with others regularly attending Capitol Hill meetings with his staff. Trump has also declared himself the presumptive nominee.
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus has criticized the Never Trump movement as well. It is essential to victory in November that we all support our candidate, Priebus said at the RNCs spring meeting.
Trumps opponents are focused on trying to deny him the delegates needed to secure the nomination in hopes of forcing a contested convention in July.
Heres a list of Republicans who wont back Trump as nominee.

That’s crazy talk. All these people are doing is outing themselves as globalists.
Someone has to get it through Trump’s head that we are a Constitutional Republic. He has no clue. He thinks he will be a monarch.
Screw them and the RINO establishment elephant they rode in on.
A real rogues gallery.
For starters:
No more Brad Thor books for me...
No more Levin books for me...
No Levin TV for me...
No Blaze TV for me...
They know that they would be out in the cold in a Trump administration, anyway.
I was surprised at JC Watts also, but then I saw what he’s doing now. It’s influence peddling.
I remember the GOP telling me to shut up and accept their guy because he was better than the Dem. Now that the role is reversed they want to pick up their toys and go home.
Trump may be abrasive, obnoxious and opportunistic, but I’ll vote for him every day and twice on Sunday if the other choice is Hillary.
BTW, have any of these sore losers read the position papers that Trump puts out? If he governs along those lines, conservatism will get more out of one Trump term than it has gotten from the GOPe since Reagan left office.
I put that list into my FAVORITES...and will make sure I boycott/go against their views.
Just who will be receiving the vote from these ‘folks’? With Sen Ted out of the game (as of this evening) and the RNC telling the pubbie elites it is time to come together in backing the nominee will they be backing Hillary or moving out of the country? And Trump’s choice of a running mate. Where will this take us? Back into the RNC elite summer camp or a continuance of this wild hike into the summer foliage? The Washington DC cocktail crowd has some sincere soul searching to do and some decisions to make given their predicament.
Breitbart had a good article back in March. “March 1980: When the Establishment Believed Ronald Reagan Would Lead the GOP to Certain Defeat”
The GOP elites hated Reagan but boy did they jump on the bandwagon when he won the nomination in July of that yearr.
Thanks for posting the list; I am quite familiar with nearly all of the names of these whiners.
Now that the people actually have a voice, many of them have immediately become “obsolete.”
How about this: The Neocon/Globalist/Establishment/Chamber of Commerce cabal, and all of their surrounding acolytes can take THEIR turn at being the “buggy whip” industry that they’ve loved to trot out to Middle Class America for the last 20 years. Bite us.
Amen to that! Turned him off last month and have not regretted one second of the silence which followed. He is not the man he seemed to be. Parsed words are false words.
Sigh, a real who’s who of the elite and arrogant.
bkmk, not that I don’t have their names already, none have been ‘shy’ about their intent. Freakin jerks
Let’s call it the pro-slavery list.
The global oligarchy that runs this place wants illegals doing most of the work, with little to no pay (some owe their pay for years to the coyotes etc), as well as insanely cheap overseas laborers that could be children, prisoners, or actual slaves. The South (who are we kidding, the North too) made a ton of money off American slavery in the day, and now it is a national shame. While the same thing goes on today under our noses.
These people wanted an establishment-approved candidate. The establishment is, or answers to, this Global cabal who has their own power and money at heart and don’t care about our Constitution.
The global cabal enjoys the benefits of the near-slavery of the unprotected dirt poor and often indentured worker.
These people align themselves with slavery and not with freedom and success for the individual Americans. Let them understand the choice they are making. Hillary is owned by the globalists.
Well, millions of people sat at home when they anointed Mitt Romney in 2012. A couple 10s of elites won’t make much difference. And like others said, at least half of these people on this list will support Trump once things cool off.
GOPee:
Rush is a coward. Which way will he spin tomorrow? Will he have positioned himself, in toe shoes, ready to pirouette onto the Trump Train, which he was surely ALWAYS going to do but couldn’t reveal his choices during the primary, heh heh heh?
Or will he spin the other way, still putting down the Trumpsters, wonder what those idiots have wrought, sure that Hillary will be elected, or even play an Operation Chaos To help keep her viable?
Whose butt does he kiss tomorrow and what is he getting out of it? Maybe we should call Chuck Schumer and find out....
You bet!
I’m hopeful Mark Levin will come around.
Thanks. Did not hear that. Who was it?
