“Farding” is a double entendre, the way it’s pronounced.

The Trumpist label has a double meaning, in that Rush pretends that he thinks it’s innocent, while it has a negative meaning to Trump supporters.

Are you just bummed out at Cruz’s crushing defeat?

Lane did convince the jury.

I also like Roger Stone’s theory that LBJ was behind the hit, but again, I don’t know enough to judge it on the evidence. Interesting is all.

Well, that's a pun, and I don't think it qualifies as a double entendre, which requires ambiguity in a fully parsed expression.

The Trumpist label has a double meaning, in that Rush pretends that he thinks it’s innocent, while it has a negative meaning to Trump supporters.

Ah, here we are.

A: I don't think this approaches double entendre. Perhaps innuendo.

Are you just bummed out at Cruz’s crushing defeat?

B: Trump for President!

He ran a tough race. Now he stood down. Mr. Trump said today, Cruz ran a very tough race.

I hope the two of them work things out, and that Mr. Trump finds a good position for Mr. Cruz.

As a Trump supporter (so you know my bias) this was Senator Cruz's last chance to bow out gracefully and he did. I can now believe that the things he did were because he was desperately trying to win and thought he was the best man for the job. But now realizes that it is important for our country to defeat Clinton and set his personal ambitions aside.

I won't argue fine points that maybe he should have done it earlier. He got the message sent by the voters of Indiana and wasted no time. That's what a top class politician does. We are all a little bruised from this campaign but now it's time to focus on what's important for our country and that's getting Donald Trump elected.

Good Luck to Senator Cruz going forward. Perhaps with his support the Republican Party and the USA can change for the better.

It’ll be a difficult argument for Bernie to make, as Hillary still leads him by +3mil popular votes. Making it easy for them to fall back on the rationalization that her delegate totals reflect a democratic outcome.

"Very few men with normal testosterone levels will vote for Hillary. The only men voting for her will be on the Gov't tit one way or another. Could be via Gov't employment"

So much this. Bubba was hereabouts yesterday and one of the nets live-streamed a big chunk of Bubba speech to one of the fine local Amish orgs, and Bubba went on and on subtly defending NAFTA and globalism viz trade; and I thought, not only is he wrong, but he's giving a speech about trade to a room full of teachers, bus drivers, and asst govt titters. They golf-clapped intermittently to be polite but he could have been reading the phone book for all they cared.

Wow Cankles is so done right out of the gate...she literally has no chance in November. And that's why Tedlim stayed in - something the OP missed along with every single other vanity pundit. And that is the one and only thing I will cut Tedlim some slack on - '16 is constructed to be a non-Democrat election the exact same way '08 was constructed to be a non-GOP election - albeit '08 ended up Bobo's coronation instead of Cankles. Now she's out of order and will never win, as this time was supposed to be Yeb!s turn.

Bingo. This thread shows that about 20% them have class, or at least the wit to pretend so.

“Carly Fiorina”

I remember that name from somewhere...

If my memory serves me, she is the one who almost sunk HP.

I voted for Cruz a week or two before that event. I’d have had a very hard time doing so after.

"Ted Cruz will be the presumptive nominee as soon as he enters the next Republican primary."

In 2020, Paul Ryan - with the full weight of the GOPe - would crush (ex-Senator) Ted Cruz like a bug.

Cruz is nothing more than a bad footnote in this election. A first term junior senator, a serial liar, and a Canadian natural born citizen. The losers are all of the people that ignored the Constitution and their conservative principles to support him.

Really? Trump won and you're still trying to alienate Cruz supporters? It's about time that those of us who voted for Trump (as I did a week ago today) acted like adults.

This is not a difficult concept: Personal insults directed at Cruz or at his voters do not make it more likely for the 30% of republican voters who preferred Cruz to vote Trump in November. That conduct makes it more likely for Hillary to win. Please give it some thought and start acting like a gracious winner - even if it's an act.

“Carly Fiorina”

Or as one FReeper put it, the shortest lived VP nominee in history.

Your move is to be as gracious a winner as Mr. Trump. So far, you are failing miserably!

I have been a Trump Volunteer as well as supporter on FR, crossing sabers with Cruz and Kasich supporters here as well as the aaDU trolls.

The list of so-called “Conservatiives” who refuse to vote for Mr. Trump is a list of the GOPe wing of the DC Uni-Party and some loons out in right field.

Last night, an effective opposition to the DC Uni-Party was born. We now have a chance to retrieve our Republic after the deprevations which started under Wilson.

I believe Hillary won’t be the candidate either; she could very credibly claim poor health as the reason. There is no enthusiasm for her, and if anyone was going to drive blacks, young people, and even Hispanics to vote elsewhere or stay home it is Hillary.

I agree. It was the business with his father. Rafael B. Cruz ( or whomever he really is) does not hold up under scrutiny. The Cruz family story was unravelling because the FOIA documents retrieved conflict with the story.

And Ted is not eligible, everyone keeps forgetting that.

Blew through $150 million for not a single delegate.

And what did Mr. Trump say last night, his delegates to date spending just $900,000.

That is a lot of bang for the buck.

Look for calls in Ohio for Gov. Kasich to come home and be a good Governor in the next few weeks.

Powerful wisdom. Stop fighting the last battle and move on to the next.

We can’t afford to waste rounds on targets that have been eliminated.

With regard to the democrat primaries and convention, the obese diva has not even begun to warm up. They have not had a chance to count the votes from the FBI primary, and Hillary has not passed a physical exam.

Our final opponent wil not be known until the end of the democrat convention, if then.

Hillary, Bernie, Bidden/Warren or TBD. I would not bet for or against any of them at this point.

Head on a swivel, focus on the objective, and engage the targets that remain.

We can hold the Kangaroo Court and assess the bar fines after we finish celebrating victory on January 22, 2017
