Just in: @TedCruz is ending his presidential campaign, campaign manager Jeff Roe tells me.
God bless you. I have voted in EVERY presidential election for 40 years. I have not decided yet, but this could be the first one I sit out — and I am VERY, VERY UNAPPRECIATIVE of the way the Trump supporters have acted, treating a Christian man in a very unchristian manner.
I know. I collected a few good ones just in the last 24 hours myself.
Where -do- the delegates go, that belonged to the second place guy, when said second-place guy drops out, and a third place guy is still in?
I thought Cruz dropped out, not suspended.
Anyone hear from Glen Beck?
I worry about his safety.
In all seriousness, I do wonder what the next card played will be.
Cruz was a conservative candidate, someone I have been waiting to support for years. Trump insulted Cruz and his family in the worst possible way. I will NEVER support or vote for Trump. He represents the absolute worst in politics. He ran a classic democrat campaign of personal destruction. Good luck supporting this clown.
Trump was not my choice, but Trump is the nominee. I will not take my ball and go home. I will support Trump just as I supported Romney and McCain before him.
Trump is infinitely better than Hillary or Sanders, just as Romney and McCain were both infinitely better than Obama. Supporting the Republican nominee is almost always a no-brainer, and 2016 is no exception.
“I know how I felt when Santorum dropped out.”
No one called Santorum Lucifer, Lyin Santorum, a cheater, whorin Santorum, the biggest liar ever, with a father who helped kill Kennedy.
Now you all get to live with your choice.
I've been at a dinner, came home with car radio off, this!!!!
WOWZA!!!
God bless him for manning up and stepping away.
This at least gives us hope that we can see a united party that will allow Trump to win a great victory in November,.
After all that was said, after his anger earlier in the day...it is clear that he took and followed good advise and dropped out.
Many did not expect him to do so. I give him a lot of credit for doing it.
As a supporter of his, I had pled with him to do so.

Thank you, God!
The Night Of The Living Ted is finally over!
“...bring him aboard somehow Donald.”
Please, no.
I think that would be great.
(actually)
“My condolences to the Cruz folks”
I was a strong Cruz supporter early on, but pulled away from Ted when he voted for TPA/ TPP. In my view, that was the early warning signal that should have been picked up by every Cruz supporter.
Pardon me if I fail to show any condolences or sympathy to those who continued to follow him down the rabbit hole anyway.
“Ill miss the last candidate who understood the Constitution...”
Oh please...
If Ted was the ‘constitutional conservative’ some of you believe him to be, he would never have gotten into the race to begin with.
Article II, Section I, Clause V, for those in Rio Linda.
You’re sad, you know that?
“Cruz will do fine in Texas.”
A word of advice. Don’t bet real money on that. This Texan doesn’t believe Ted could get elected to the Austin city council after all he’s done in this race.
Ok....maybe Austin...
“a clueXfour”
Good one!
Why are you still here? You’ve been a contrarian stick-in-the-mud for as long as you’ve been here.
