...And Cruz exits with a lack of graciousness.

I feel bad for people here who supported this guy. However, I don’t feel bad for Sen. Cruz.

I could see Trump/Kasich (Trump said he wanted a vp with political experience in DC) and a nomination to the SC for Cruz.

At least he dropped out and now the bloodletting should stop so we can concentrate on Hillary.

Hopefully now that he has dropped out Trump will be gracious in victory.

58percent reporting, Sanders 53, Clinton 47percent. He’s now a full 6percent over her.

I could see Trump/Kasich...

Kasich is 180 degrees from Trump on the critical issues of immigration and trade policy. He would be a disaster and if anything happened to Trump, we'd have a president who opposed the issues that won it for Trump.

Trump now has plenty of time to decide on a VP and it should not be Kasich.

I’m in Ohio and I don’t care for Katich, but I think Katich would do whatever he was told to do if he was offered the VP slot - that’s the way he is.

That being said, I agree he’s plenty of time to decide who to pick.

Kasich is left of Hillary, Trump doesn’t need him to take Ohio, not one bit.

agree - but trump has said that he wants a political insider as vp to help with handling washington - I could see him heading that route, because I think Kasich can be “managed”. I hope to god he doesn’t pick rubio or some of the other also rans who would be more trouble.

Needs a veep that will prevent an “health accident” or mitigate an impeachment. Sarah Palin, Sheriff Joe or B1 Bob Dornan. If DT takes Ted Cruz, will Carly be the Vice Veep? Will Carly be third in line for Prez? Constitutional Crisis?

Ah, if one listened carefully to Carly's intro... It was obvious that this was going to be a suspension speech, well that and the fact there were teleprompters there.

I say this sincerely, God bless Cruz for manning up and stepping away.

After all that was said, after his anger earlier in the day...it is clear that he took and followed good advise and dropped out.

Many did not expect him to do so. I give him a lot of credit for doing it.

This at least gives us hope that we can see a united party that will allow Trump to win a great victory in November.

As a supporter of his, I had pled with him to do so.

I believe Trump’s victory speech was also excellent. He opened the door for the healing too.

Here’s what I was told by a man from Indiana, decades ago, who himself was fairly old at the time:

He said that the term predates the American Revolution, when French and English colonists in what is now Indiana would sometimes get into skirmishes in fights over possession of the area.

British soldiers would patrol the area, looking for French settlers that they considered trespassers. When they came upon a settler’s cabin, they would knock upon the door, and according to English law could not pass the threshold without permission of the owner. If the settler was English, they would leave and go on to the next settlement.

A French settler, being aware of this quirk of English law, would try and sound as English as he could in replying to the knock without opening the door. Only it would come out, “WHOSH ‘ERE?”, instead of, “Who’s there?”. So eventually the British soldiers would call them “Hoosiers”...................
