For months, Ohio Gov. John Kasich has been arguing that he should be the Republican nominee for president because polls show he would defeat Democrat Hillary Clinton in the general election while front-runner Donald Trump would lose.
Sen. Ted Cruz has made similar arguments, contending that to nominate Trump is to vote for Clinton.
They may want to develop a new argument.
A new Rasmussen poll shows Trump in the lead in a face-off with Clinton.

IF Trump is the nominee it will be refreshing to have a Republican running who is willing to fight back. We always seem to have one hand tied behind our backs with candidate who won’t fight the Dem on their own terms.

Mr. GG2 and I were just speculating about that last night. I knew that as soon as Trump wrapped up the GOP nomination his numbers agains’t HIllary would rise fast. Looks like I was right. He is going to beat her like a drum.

Well, where do you think the states are located? In the nation which serves as a “temperature”, of course states can vary, but give the guy some credit. He has turned this around and likely will bury her by the time it comes to November.

Funny no mention of the other poll same day that has Hildabeast up by 11. And this was an odd poll question-wise. And it’s Rasmussen which has a very poor track record until it “adjusts” two weeks before an election.

This nation is divided, and from 2008 & 2012 we see how difficult it is now for any Republican to win. Unfettered immigration and the welfare state w/ more than half in the wagon & less than half pulling it make victory for the GOP a crapshoot. We’re going to see more close Gore v. Bush or not-so-close Obama v. McCain/Romney going forward. And that will make national polls less predictive, IMO.

Trump is the best candidate and we are very lucky that he stepped into this race. And he’s the best man for the job.
And he will win in spite of people like yourself.
Cruz appeals to 22% of the electorate, that number will not win national elections.
