Jewish comedian Jackie Mason has strong words for Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders, calling him a self-hating Jew in a radio interview. The segment, which aired Sunday, was previewed exclusively by Breitbart Friday.
Mason spoke during his his regular segment on Aaron Klein Investigative Radio, a popular talk radio program broadcast weekends in New York and Philadelphia. Klein is also Breitbarts senior investigative reporter and Jerusalem bureau chief.
Mason, who considers himself the ultimate Jew, took Sanders to task for repeated exaggerations and accusations levelled against Israel. When asked whether Sanderss comments would be taken differently if they were made by a non-Jew, Mason replied, If a non-Jew was saying it, people would call him an anti-Semite because he is an anti-Semite. Just because hes a Jew doesnt mean he cant hate being Jewish because he obviously is a viciously self-hating Jew.
For him to create all of these fraudulent statements, one on top of the other, exaggerations and out-and-out lies, and then he apologized for them and then he said it again. Hes like a man determined not just to criticize Israel, but a man whos determined to prove not only that he dislikes Jews and Judaism, but he hates it and he hates Israel. You would think Israel is a Nazi organization and hes a Jew fighting the Nazis. You would never know he was a Jew fighting a Jewish country. This man is violently sick.

Sanders has been criticized for exaggerating the Gazan death toll in 2014s Operation Protective Edge, accusing Israel of killing 10,000 innocent civilians. When confronted with the actual numbers just over 2,000 deaths, 44 percent of which were combatants he acknowledged his error. However, this did not prevent him from claiming Israel bombed hospitals and applied disproportionate force.
At the time, Klein himself pointed out the absurdity of Sanderss position. Israel launched Operation Protective Edge to stop the indiscriminate rocket fire from Gaza towards Israeli civilians. Despite the mounting danger to its own people, the Jewish state did everything in its power to minimize Palestinian casualties.
And by calling Israels self-defense disproportionate, what exactly is Sanders advocating? That instead of acting to minimize the terrorist threat against its civilians, Israel should respond to every act of Palestinian terrorism with an equivalent act? Klein wrote. Sanderss statement is preposterous, nonsensical, and negates Israels ability to defend itself and degrade Hamass terrorist infrastructure.
Lest anyone think he misspoke, Mason later emailed Klein to confirm he intentionally called Sanders an anti-Semite. According to Masons charges, Sanders does not uphold the Biblical command to love ones fellow as oneself.
Nor is this the first time Mason has spoken out against Sanders for the latters views on Israel. The week before, on the same talk show, Mason called Sanders a schmuck, saying Theres something about [Sanders] being Jewish that makes him self-conscious and nervous. And he has to prove to himself and to the country that he doesnt favor Israel in any way.
Yes. I don’t see his Jewishness as having anything to do with it.
He is simply a typical liberal. That’s it. That stuff bouncing around in his head lives in the heads of all liberals, but most of them are smart enough not to voice them to non-liberals.
If you were to give an average non-Warm Hearted liberal truth serum, you would likely be shocked. (Warm Hearted liberals are just people who want to see “good things” done, but don’t think things through...)
I don’t like the term “self-hating”. I’m sure he loves himself just fine; it’s those other Jews that he is repelled by.
That joke today is an anachronism. Both Episcopalians and Puerto Ricans today vote the same way..
IIRC, it was Irving Kristol.
My comment referred to Sanders not Mason.
I have long been an admirer of Mason. He dated the daughter of a woman I know here in Cincinnati and became generous to her elderly grandfather without the need for thanks of any kind. A peach of a guy.
Disproportionate force is how wars are ended and peace is achieved!
Mason is a long-recognized conservative. He is actually ordained as a a rabbi and came from a family of rabbis, “but,” he said, “someone in the family had to make a living.”
