ALBANY An Albany County grand jury indicted three University at Albany students Monday on charges related to an incident on a CDTA bus in January.
Ariel Agudio, 20, of Huntington, faces one charge of assault, three counts each of attempted assault and falsely reporting an incident, all misdemeanors, and three counts of harassment, all violations.
Asha Burwell, 20, of Huntington Station, is charged with one misdemeanor count of assault, four misdemeanor counts of falsely reporting an incident and one count of harassment, a violation.
Alexis Briggs, 20, of Elmira Heights, is charged with one misdemeanor count of assault and two misdemeanor counts of falsely reporting an incident.
The indictment alleges that around 1 a.m. Jan. 30, while aboard a CTDA bus on the UAlbany campus, the women struck and injured a 19-year-old female passenger.
The indictment also alleges Agudio repeatedly struck and attempted to injure a 19-year-old male passenger and attempted to hurt two other female passengers, ages 18 and 20.
Burwell also is charged with allegedly having physical contact with a 19-year-old male passenger.
Agudio, Burwell and Briggs also falsely reported the incident to law enforcement, the indictment states, after they got off the bus and in days following the alleged incident.

Here comes Sharpton.
I just heard this on our local radio station (Albany).
Churchill: ‘Lynching’ claim adds fuel to UAlbany bus attack fire [ “Academic Lynching” ]

Just when it seemed that cooler heads might prevail, when it seemed that the tension fueled by allegations of a racially motivated attack at the University at Albany might subside, along comes the attorney for Asha Burwell with a phrase that’s gasoline for the fire.
Academic lynching.
Yes, Frederick Brewington went there. That’s how the attorney described the UAlbany process being used to determine the potential on-campus punishment for Burwell and the two other black students who said a pack of white passengers beat them on a CDTA bus while yelling racial slurs.
UAlbany now believes Burwell, Ariel Agudio, and Alexis Briggs were not only lying, but instigated the violence. Burwell and Agudio have been charged with falsely reporting an incident to police and all three face misdemeanor assault charges.
Meanwhile, the university is weighing whether to expel or otherwise punish the students for violating the student code of conduct.
Is that an academic lynching? Only if you think the university is tilting the process against the women simply because they’re black a claim for which I see no evidence.
Brewington wasn’t retreating from his rhetoric when I talked to him Wednesday.

Think they call it karma...
This and the Cuomo scandal, I was glued to the radio. (Albany also.)
I remember this one!
Because they got to the cops first, they had everyone believing they were huge, HUGE racial victims.
You would have thought a hooded band of torch-bearing KKK guys one-sidedly attacked them for NO REASON at all.
They were pretty successful in generating that whole narrative, too.
Guess they got a little (a lot) greedy.

GUILTY !
The ironic thing is that this incident would have gone unreported as it is considered typical drunk and rowdy college student behavior on the bus. The girls decided to make a big thing out of it and ended up getting charged. Silly nigros.
I cannot wait for the BLM group to make a publican statement that those “three University at Albany students” were just getting their lives back together and white people disrupted their healing.
More ironic, they were given a chance to recant and write a short apology. Everything would have been dropped.
They played the race card against a straight flush -showing!
Nail em! (No felonies, don’t want to be too hard on them.)
I guess these college piggies don’t respect “safe zones” on buses. That really “offends” me.
Something tells me they don’t have boyfriends.
Something tells me they dont have boyfriends.....Are you saying they may be thespians?!! Rac...big....queer hater!!
But.... but.... but.... where are the hate crime charges?
