Residents of the California's Bay Area are eyeing the exits, according to a survey by the Bay Area Council.
Some 34 percent of San Francisco-area residents are considering leaving because of high housing costs and traffic, The Mercury News reports.
"We can whine about this, or we can win by solving our traffic and housing problems," Carl Guardino, president of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, told The Mercury News. "The last time the Bay Area had seemingly solved its traffic problems was the worldwide recession of 2008. A recession is not how we want to solve our traffic and housing problems."

That was way back in the last century. LOL!
Moved to San Diego over 50 years ago as a kid. It was heaven.
Left for the Northwest 25 years ago, Seattle, Portland and finally Montana.
Live on a mountainside now with critters that can eat you. Love it. Would rather pack a firearm around my property than deal with the traffic and better weather. I just don’t do well in densely populated places anymore. Though if I could live in a golf-course condo and not have to drive anywhere San Diego would be hard to beat. Place is packed with conservatives which will be a welcome change for you.
Enjoy it.
As soon as the housing market gets people out from underwater homes, watch out. People will move by the millions.
specially if all the 34% comes from Oakland.
At least that's what the Lefties responsible for much of the cost in SF used to think, and still do.
“And the band played on.
So, round and around and around we go.
Where the world's headed, nobody knows.”
Temptations
Wouldn’t they need to be able to find jobs for that?
The new theme.........”Canada Or Bust”
That’s the only way the housing market will rebound anyway.
I’ve been to San Francisco many times over the years, and I’ve always noticed the ever-present urine smell throughout the city. I’ve read that it’s even worse these days, which is hard to imagine because it was pretty bad years ago.
I left the East Bay 46 years ago, and very happy right where I am at.
Too much Hope and Change was not good a good thing for these liberals.
Not fair. There are libs in every state as well as good conservatives. If CA Freepers stopped giving donations here, FR would shutter. CA is filled with conservatives who are kind of stuck here for various reasons and even those familial ties don’t get the priority SURVIVAL does.
Some of us are moving to blue states (not me, yet, but I dream of it) not to turn you liberal but to love among like mindeds. We can’t help it that the libs give the rest of us a bad name.
Doesn’t it bum you out that illegals have better cars than we do? How do they afford them?
I haven’t been in SF in 3 years and I was surprised then at the nicer neighborhoods where the side streets smell like urine.
Sadly, they’re going to leave and create the same crappy conditions with their liberal voting patterns they’re trying to escape ...
California is indeed beautiful....
Hola Mexico instead.
Also a problem caused by the democRats.
