Cruz Vows to Go the Distance Ahead of Crucial Indiana Primary
With a pivotal vote in Indiana this week, Ted Cruz is vowing to "go the distance," whatever the outcome of Tuesday's primary.
"It is an incredibly important state," Cruz said of Indiana on ABC's "This Week." "We are competing hard. I hope we do well here. I can tell you I'm barnstorming the state, we're in a bus with my family, we're doing everything we can to earn the votes of the men and women in this state. We're going the distance. We're competing the entire distance.
Cruz, trailing his main rival Donald Trump by 431 delegates, enters this week after two weeks of losses to Trump in six states. When pressed by ABC News Martha Raddatz about whether Indiana is a must win, Cruz would not say. While it is mathematically impossible for Cruz to clinch the 1237 delegates needed to secure the nomination before the Republican convention in July, Cruz says Trump won't get there either.

That ship has long sailed!
No, even they aren’t that insane.
Even if Trump wins, I doubt he would serve two terms.
Yes, standing against Trump when it is all over-very noble.
Yep...That’s correct....
I am beginning to think he is a Bush mole.
Indiana ain’t Wisconsin. He doesn’t have the Reince/Walker/Ryan opposition and collusion.
Only Cruz would do this. Why? Is he banking on physical harm coming to Donald Trump? Is that what he is literally doing?
>>His whole life has been marketing and promotion—of Donald Trump, his business, the golf courses, steaks, vineyard, clothing, even the name of his boat (while he had it) and the side of his helicopter proclaim “Trump”. If he was so astute why didn’t he opt in when people had been saying these things only 10 years, or 5 years? Because it wasn’t marketable.
But, he is the marketer and the promoter of his own brand. I was responding to your claim that people on TV are nothing but marketing and promotion as created by others.
Everyone who is successful is the marketer and promoter of their own brand. If you don’t do that, your talents and competence will become someone else’s success story. They teach that in business school and Trump did seem to pay attention at Wharton.
Would Ted’s slander ever rise to the level of murderous intent?
Hell yes it has!
Very good.
Consumer satisfaction varies.
I’ve read lots of insinuation, not just your comment that I may have over-read, that Soros has donated either to the Cruz campaign or one of its supporting SuperPACs. Even if he has already donated, it would have been so indirectly that we’d spend months unraveling the route taken.
Desperation. The Establishment (of both parties) has been engaged in profitable graft for a long time. They do NOT want anyone who is not "one of them" to get into a position to expose them. They will burn the whole party down in the process. They will burn the whole COUNTRY down. NOTHING is more important to them than retaining power.
Cruz has no real shot in California, I don’t think.

Soros doesn’t need to waste his money on Ted as long as the Bush crime family supports him. If Ted continues after that money dries up theb you might be correct.
His chances were better before Carly.
Ted’s a mess.

Well, of course. Especially people who are religiously devoted to another brand. You see it in the Ford vs Chevy arguments. You’ll see the person who will almost fight to death defending Brand X’s claim that is “consistently better” than Brand Z, even though Brand X’s claims are really just claims of trying to be better.
