When Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump declared he was the presumptive nominee this week, much news coverage challenged him on it. A new survey reveals that GOP voters appear to agree with Mr. Trump: 89 percent now agree that the candidate will win the nomination, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll released Friday.
The number of Republican voters who believe Mr. Trump will be the nominee has risen by 18 percentage points in less than a week. The poll analysis cites his sweeping primary victories in New York and five other states in recent days as deciding factors.
To show how far Trump has come in a presidential bid that most considered highly improbable at the time, just 25 percent of Republicans said he was the likely nominee, Rasmussen reported.
Americans in general agree. Among all likely voters, 80 percent believe the billionaire will be on the national ballot in seven months.

Nope. Cruz will insist it's God's will, and you will see this in his next ad.

What about that eating machine Kasich! Yeah, Mr. NAFTA.
Imagine this slob entertaining dignitaries in the White House? I bet he still drinks milk right out of the bottle.

Cruz has planted his flag with the Carly selection. He will not drop out until Trump has 1,237 or wins a ballot vote at the convention. And failing this, he probably thinks he can filibuster the nomination.
Maybe it's time for Carly to come to her senses and put a stop to Cruz's GOP Götterdämmerung.

“Nearly impossible” is not “impossible”.
The Republican establishment has EARNED the title of “Stupid Party” for very good reason. In regards to The Donald, they seem to have a death wish, preferring to shed themselves of The Donald, rather than risk the possibility that he could turn this into a landslide for himself and other like-minded Republican incumbents and challengers of what are currently Democrat seats, or those open seats that now dot the landscape in both the House and Senate.
The threat goes on, that if The Donald does not reach the 1,237 delegate votes on the first ballot, the convention will not merely be contested, it will be thrown wide open. And even if the threshold of 1.237 delegates is met and exceeded, the credentials of those delegates will be challenged, and an attempt will be made to snatch the nomination away.
All I may suggest is, that if you are going to attempt to take out the king, you better to hell not miss. Retribution is an ugly thing.

Cruz [fouled] it up and after Tuesday, he can drop out. That will be difficult. Published articles indicate Heidi received a word that Cruz would be President. Pentecostals anointed him. Mormons believed Cruz was a fulfillment of their prophecy. They may see their salvation entwined, as it were, with his running for President. It is going to be very difficult for true believers to come down from that height.

Cruz has been acting irrationally for quite some time now and isn’t a good candidate for anything.

Sorry for my tardy reply ... I'm attached to our FReepathon thread and I forget to look at my pings or at the posted articles ...LOL ... so I hope my comments are NOT repetitious.
This is the time for patriots and define patriots however you wish. I'll define it as one or those who put America first.
This time WE have to demand a higher standard than personal ambition.
If the GOP nomination goes to the Convention for a floor fight wherein Cruz and Trump delegates succeed in destroying our best chance by destroying each other, our country will be left to the democrat and SCOTUS as well.
Mr. Donald Trump, with all his shortcomings, has managed what no other has and that is, he has broken the stronghold strangle hold of MSM and Conservative journalism by grabbing the headlines ever since his announcement back in June of 2015. He has withstood all their incoming fire because "the people" are with him, as the millions upon millions of votes prove, given that those votes he received came from actual, living, breathing VOTERS like you and me.
It is time for patriots. We are patriots. Mr. Trump is a patriot. He is leading and he has always been in the lead.
It's time for Senator Cruz to put aside his personal ambition. It's too late for him to strike a deal with Mr. Trump, given that he has already selected his VP, but it's not too late for the senator to put his country first.

Cruz quit if he loses Indiana Tuesday? If it's a rout? Not Tuesday night, maybe not Weds...but within a week.

Very well said, my FRiend.
It’s time for Cruz and all of us to put the country first.
Donald Trump not only has withstood all the incoming fire but continually gained strength.
In my view he will continue to gain strength and crush Hillary in November.
