Last night, anti-Trump protesters rioted in Costa Mesa, California. Yes, rioted. Thats what you call it when demonstrations turn into this:

Or this:

Just imagine for a moment the shrieking outrage if Trump supporters had tried to flip a car outside a Hillary Clinton rally. Imagine the fury at the sight of a bloody man wearing a Hillary shirt. So how did the mainstream media cover the anti-Trump riot? Hot Airs Larry OConnor has the details:
Check out the LA Times headline: Protests rage outside Trump rally in Orange County; 17 arrested, police car smashed. Maybe its me, but if your headline includes the phrase: police car smashed, perhaps you should go ahead and call it a riot and not the benign and righteous sounding protest. The Times write-up of the ugly violence begins with more apologetic language: Hundreds of demonstrators filled the street outside the Orange County amphitheater where Donald Trump held a rally Thursday night Demonstrators??? This is a very deliberate use of language. When you have a righteous cause, youre a demonstrator. The Times is using language equating these thugs with someone marching in Selma. Demonstrators sounds heroic. The Washington Post used the morally-neutral term clashed.
Trump protesters clashed with police officers here after a campaign rally Thursday hosted by the Republican presidential candidate. Its just a clash, folks. Who knows how it started? Then there was this tweet from an L.A. Times reporter:
[tweet "It appears the #DonaldTrump storm has passed #CostaMesa"]
Im sorry, but an anti-Trump riot is not a Donald Trump storm.
Lets state this as plainly as possible: Nothing Trump has done justifies a violent response. Nothing. Yet the more the media whitewashes this violence and applies its typical double standard to left-wing thugs, the more the violence will escalate.
Clearly the media sympathizes with these Mexican flag-waving crowds in much the same way that it sympathized with the rioters at Ferguson and Baltimore. But when you excuse political violence, you tend to get more of it. We know leftist radicals arent shy about taking so-called direct action to intimidate opponents. We also know that at least some Trump supporters are spoiling for a fight. Trump himself has been spoiling for a fight. We risk the worst political violence in a generation. Am I wrong to believe that some in the media are thrilled at the prospect so long as the Left is leading the charge?
“I will round up all the leftists in the News Media for orderly liquidation.”
I really think that’s too extreme. I’m in favor of re-education camps. A few years of doing honest work farming in an environmentally-friendly way (by hand) during the day and studying the Constitution at night would do wonders for their character and undo the damage wrought by the public school system.
Well, they meant he riled up his supporters in the auditorium. The insinuation was that the riled up crowd caused the violence.
This is like the million Mexican march about 10 years ago when the Mexicans put a million Mexicans on the street to flex their muscles but instead it woke up millions of more Americans and started the patriotic close the border movement. Keep waving those Mexican flags in OUR country, dummies.
We didn’t cross the border—the border crossed us, gringo!
And our *good neighbor* to the south encourages this Reconquista arrogance.
That picture says it all. Kick them all out. They are ticks on society. We will get robots that will do the work Americans don’t want to do.
This has shown America what has been simmering under the surface for years. There are many thousands of illegals who have contempt for us and wherever they dominate as the majority they will show their ugly side. Costa Mesa is near Santa Ana which has a large illegal population so you see what happens when they are able to congregate in large numbers. Bet there is lots of tension in the public schools in Santa Ana and places like that.
It no longer shocks me how overtly dishonest the media can be; this morning I heard a news snip describing some development in the “Bridgegate scandal”, and the newsdouche was describing how it related to the George Washington Bridge was closed for political retaliation.
This “scandal” was used to taint Governor Christie (who has never been directly connected to it in any way); it involved closing entrance ramps to the bridge from Fort Lee NJ (allegedly as retribution for the mayor of that town refusing to endorse Christie for re-election). The bridge itself was never closed, but that will now become the new “truth”...
They ain’t whitewashing it - they are at this very moment having sessions to find creative ways to make it Trump’s doing...
