and your point is???

I don’t care if Bobby Knight doesn’t know what a conservative is. MOST people can’t tell you what a conservative is. I have seen social conservatives be willing to give government all sorts of power in order to get their desired results.

Labels have become meaningless.

The Conservative Industry has almost ruined the conservative movement....but the people will prevail.

You know, but I do know what good people are

That's part of the rest of what he said that is misrepresented by the title.

Knight is using irony to say that labels aren't as important as who the people are.

I don't know what a conservative is,” he continued.

After the bizarre Ted Cruz Pet Rock campaign, neither does anyone else.

After watching “consistent conservative” Ted and his supporters here, I’m not sure what one is either anymore.

I remember watching a press conference live on TV shortly after Team USA had won the Olympic gold in 1984, and a journalist asked Knight something along the lines of "Was it not as hard to win, because the Russian team wasn't competing?" and Knight got incensed and yelled something like "The Russians know that if they had showed up, we would have kicked their ASSES!"

Go Bobby Knight!

Go Trump!

Ideological purists are, and will remain, on the fringe of reality.

The Washington DC careerists and globalists who describe themselves as conservatives have made the word almost meaningless.

The people who vote to give taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood call themselves conservative.

The people who supported Obama funding ISIS call themselves conservative.

The people who support homosexuals suing small businesses and the government ruining these small businesses call themselves conservatives.

The people who oppose securing the border with Mexico call themselves conservatives.

The people who vote for uncontrolled government spending and ruinous deficits call themselves conservatives.

The people who support bad trade deals and outsourcing American jobs call themselves conservatives.

Knight is correct in the sense that there are many who claim to be conservative who are no more conservative than Obama or Shrillary.

But if Knight doesn’t know what principles a conservative should hold, he’s just plain ignorant.

Here are the eleven Reagan principles.

• Freedom
• Faith
• Family
• Sanctity and Dignity of Human Life
• American Exceptionalism
• The Founders’ Wisdom and Vision
• Lower Taxes
• Limited Government
• Peace Through Strength
• Anti-Communism
• Belief in the Individual

As taken from the book, “11 Principles of a Reagan Conservative” - Paul Kengor

“For those who might have forgotten a conservative believes in limited government, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, fiscal responsibility, and traditional values.”

Description of a conservative pretty much rules out Fiorina, Cruz choice for a running mate.

GOPe define conservative as; “GOPe”
Neocons describe conservatives as; “Neocon”
Uniparty describes conservative as; “Republican”

Trump supporters describe conservative as; “America first”

What’s a “conservative?” Ask a “Paleo-Conservative.” Pat Buchanan knows, and Donald Trump listened:

“Can anyone argue that our interventions to overthrow regimes and erect democratic states in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen have succeeded and been worth the price we have paid in blood and treasure, and the devastation we have left in our wake?

George W. Bush declared that America’s goal would become “to end tyranny in our world.” An utterly utopian delusion, to which Trump retorts by recalling John Quincy Adams’ views on America: “She goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy.”

To the neocons’ worldwide crusade for democracy, Trump’s retort is that it was always a “dangerous idea” to think “we could make Western democracies out of countries that had no experience or interest in becoming Western democracies.”

You mean someone can lead a great life, be a winner, a good citizen, a productive member of society, looked up to and admired, not a thug, inspire others and NOT be hard-core rigid-ass Conservative? Maybe they can be Conservative-ish?

No. Way.

'I Don't Know What a Conservative Is'

Neither do half of those running for election -- and claiming to be conservatives.

'Conservative' has become a litmus word they think they must invoke, sort of like 'Reagan'. The trouble is, just invoking the word does not make then 'conservative'.
