Thursday, while speaking with MSNBCs Luke Russert, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trumps strategist, Paul Manafort, said Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% s (R-TX) candidacy is in a coffin, and he just hasnt realized it yet.
Manafort said, Last Tuesday was the nail in the coffin, Indiana is when he realizes hes inside it.

Love that line by Manafort. Cruz has already imploded but his handlers haven’t told him to quit yet.
Cruz is crashing in the polls now. What happens to his momentum after he loses the next 6 contests, often placing 3rd?
He is done.

If Cruz destroys the Party at the Convention then loses to Hillary, he is finished politically - BUT if he quits, he has a bright future.
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
Yes, Cruz is a narcissistic jerk - and exactly why he will likely quit before Cleveland. Narcissists don't often commit suicide.
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
I'm going on record as predicting CRUZ QUITS BEFORE CLEVELAND in a magnanimous gesture to save the Party gaining future leverage & goodwill.
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
Does narcissistic Cruz at age 45 seem like the kind of man to destroy his career just to stop a man with whom he largely agrees on policy?
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
People say Cruz will stay in to the end out of ambition - but political suicide is not ambitious. Being the guy who "savedthe Party" is.

Cruz going to Cleveland would be the equivalent of a Kamikaze pilot diving into an enemy ship. Bad for the boat, worse for the pilot.
— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 15, 2016
Should be “diving into his own (GOPe) ship”.
Dynoman, if you mind me asking who’s Bill Mitchell? Not that I disagree with his Tweets you’re posting. He’s spot on.
Well Dracula does live in a coffin right?
I was just thinking the same thing about Cruz today. He’s dead, and doesn’t know it.
It’s why he won’t leave the race. He still thinks he’s got a pulse, when he’s really flatlining.
“Manafort: Last Tues was the Nail in the Coffin for Cruz; Indiana Is When He Realizes Hes Inside It”
What a line! Nice!!
"Here he is Boss, deader than hell but won't let go!"
I’m sorry, but that is so funny.
It began by bringing Neil Bush into the fold, continued with his disastrous performance in New York , and has culminated in this embarrassing VP rollout.
Trump is crushing it now. The rout is on...
Trump is a deductive thinker - he begins with the goal and works back from there - no wasted motion - only what contributes to the result.

Guys like Cruz are inductive thinkers. They are so obsessed with the ideological front end, the actual result is an afterthought.
— Bill Mitchell (REAL) (@mitchellvii) March 21, 2016
..... Well .... Sure Hope Cruz packs it in soon so that Trump can start hitting the Democrats with some well placed 2x4 issues upside their collective political heads to get people focused on issues instead of the juvenile name calling that the nation is being smothered in right now ....
The only people looking worse than Ted Cruz right now are Rush Limbaugh and his dumb ass brother.
He’s a radio show host in NC I think. Hosts with Wayne Dupree bhas like 35,000 followers. Huge Trump guy.
Manafort is the man! Go Trump!
I agree with these comments by Manafort.
I supported Cruz and felt he would be the best President.
But the facts on the ground, and the people voting are proving something different.
Trump, despite his former ways, has expressed not only strong opinions and statements that have aroused the people, he has done it in a way that shows he is willing to go up against the establishment, the MSM< the DNC, etc.
And now, on his own site he has backed up his positions with good detail, which if implemented will help turn this country around.
After the wins last Tuesday, CNN is now showing Trump with 52 total delegates likely in PA (and it is likely that that number will go higher, probably over 60 before all is said and done and once they vote at the convention):
http://edition.cnn.com/election/primaries/states/pa/Rep
Current delegate count according to them, and I have found them to be fairly accurate is:
Trump: 991
Cruz: 568
Kasich: 154
http://edition.cnn.com/election/
I expect Trump will go well over the top (probably by 60 or more delegates at this point), on June 7th.
If Cruz is interested in the GOP nominee (without any e) winning in November, then he needs to concede next week after Trump (in all likelihood) takes Indiana.
I pray to God that is what he will do. He has the power to:
1) Unite the party by so doing.
2) Deliver a huge blow to the GOPe by so doing.
3) Set up for a big GOP November win.
I wrote this letter to Senator Cruz after the NY Primary results.
My Open Letter to Ted Cruz

Again, I say all of this as one who has diligently supported Cruz...but recognizes the truth of the situation and the absolute need to defeat the Dems in November
Fact is...GOP disunity kept a couple f million of people home in 2012 and Romney lost as a result...and as a result of his not taking the fight to Obama. We simply CANNOT afford that to happen again.
Sweet.
