On Sunday night, the campaigns for Ohio Governor John Kasich and Texas Senator Ted Cruz released simultaneous statements declaring an alliance of sorts aimed at taking on the runaway frontrunner, Donald Trump.
Jeff Roe from the Cruz campaign released the following statement details exactly how the arrangement would work:
To ensure that we nominate a Republican who can unify the Republican Party and win in November, our campaign will focus its time and resources in Indiana and in turn clear the path for Gov. Kasich to compete in Oregon and New Mexico, and we would hope that allies of both campaigns would follow our lead.
The divide-and-conquer policy would allow for Cruz to focus his campaign infrastructure in Indiana while Kasich tackles Oregon and New Mexico. We will shift our campaign resources West, clarified the Kasich camp is its statements.

And now, enter a third candidate with no hope of derailing the Trump Train: Carly Fiorina, who was named as Cruzs VP choice in the event he miraculously wins the GOP nom. Either Fiorina isnt quite caught up on how the Cruz campaign has been playing politics as of late or the whole Oregon/New Mexico/Indiana debacle is already deemed a likely failure because Fiorina relayed to MSNBCs Hallie Jackson a strange message about her campaigns unlikely bedfellow from Ohio.
Jackson asked, How are two people who have not been able to beat Donald Trump yet better than one person how hasnt been able to beat Donald Trump?
After some jockeying about the states where Cruz has been victorious, Fiorina pivoted and took aim at Kasich. I actually think the person you should be asking this question to is John Kasich. He didnt get the memo. When you cant win, you need to get out.

In reality, it is time for BOTH Cruz and Kasich to DROP OUT, the former to thank Carley and get behind Trump.
Calling on Cruina to drop out of the race.
Whoopsie, see why no one has hired her since she took 80 million in pay and left the last company in shambles?
A mess, not even a hot mess.
Now we know why Cruz is hated so much by his colleagues. He essentially got Kasich out of IN in return for Cruz not campaigning in OR and NM in the future. So now Cruz is saying thru Fiorina that Kasich should get out period thus leaving Cruz free to campaign in OR and NM as well as CA. Cruz is a snake.
Even if he does, they are STILL mathematically eliminated...
You just couldn’t make this stuff up! It’s like they are in a time warp or parallel universe or something - and are absolutely blind to what’s actually happening. It’s bizarre.
Carly, you can’t win either, so why you still in the race?
Yes, please, Kaisch. Get out and give Trump your 66 Ohio delegates.
And the meltdown-slash-implosion continues, and I’m eating popcorn and giggling.
They are in LALA land. One more thing her singing like that about Rafael from Canada and Heidi who worked for Goldman Sachs kids........weird. sorry maybe off topic.
Still....how many times could iCarly have met those kids? Sings like that? Strange. You would think TeamRafealTedCruzJr. would have told her to not take any drugs before going on stage.
How is this situation any different with Cruz? The only way either can win is with a brokered convention and in that scenario Kasich's chances as just as good a Cruz' are.
She needs to call for Cruz and Kasich to drop out and become a GOP hero.
Cruz and Carly cannot win so they should drop out. You just can’t make up this shit. Has Carly started barking yet?
John Kasich- you are being OUTSOURCED!
“Yes, please, Kaisch. Get out and give Trump your 66 Ohio delegates.”
That’s a great point.
If Kasich drops out, his delegates would go to Trump. Doesn’t Carly know that? And, if she does, how could she call for Kasich to drop out?
For being the most brilliant “constitutional conservative” on the block, Ted Cruz has made some AWFULLY stupid moves in this campaign, beginning with bringing Glenn Beck on-board and having that ridiculous mock swearing-in-ceremony months ago.
“Children of the Corn”
Kimberly Guilfoyle on FOX called it!
Kasich has done better than Cruz more recently. Maybe it’s Cruz that needs to see the writing on the wall.
