Is former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown in the running to be Donald Trump's pick for vice president pick if he gets the Republican nomination?

Brown told WCVB he was in New York with Trump Tuesday night and met with him for about 90 minutes.

He’s an open slate, prefers the showbiz of Fox News to DC.

One of the few people to point out Bernie is a horrible person.

I don’t have anything against the other VP prospects except maybe for my governor, Kasich, who went full bore liberal during this process. He never campaigned that way here.

Martinez, Brewer, Gingrich, Carson, Christie, Haley, Rubio, Clarke, Blackburn,

Everyone on that list brings a state, a demographic, or both, with the exception of Gingrich, who brings an absolute treasure house of legislative knowledge.

I think Cruz has blown up his career.

I think you're probably right.

Did you catch that clip of Bobby Knight at Greta's Town Hall with Trump?

When asked how they were alike, Knight gave a little riff on how, if they really needed to win, they would both do everything they could to beat your ass.

It was on point. For good or bad, Trump doesn't play by the Marquis of Queensbury rules of politics. He has pretty much systematically destroyed Ted Cruz (or led him to destroy himself), and he'll do that to Hillary Clinton, too.

Marsha Blackburn? I don't know if she came out against Trump.

I saw it. The crowd roared when Knight said it.

Every Hoosier watching that piece probably switched his vote to Trump at that moment.

Trump should turn it into an ad and send it around the state.

The Illinois governor, Bruce Rauber, is another rampaging pro-abort whose wife sits on the board of IL Planned Barrenhood. He was only elected because Pat Quinn was more offensive and because the state and its insane and constitutionally protected pension funds have just about run out of other people’s money, private sector employers are fleeing IL in terror, they are shutting down various services to use the money to service the utterly underfunded pensions, the Demonrats are demanding tax increases, etc. We need Rauner for fiscal reasons only and he is otherwise a disgrace and, if the Demonrats run Attorney General Lisa Madigan next time, Rauner and Illinois will probably be toast. Trump does not need a money man for VP. Or an anti-immigration guy. Trump’s got both of those covered. Look for military expertise or social issue conservatism or justice, areas where Trump is not as strong or as experienced.

I think that Newt would be the absolute most valuable player. Or maybe a military expert would be a good choice? Trump’s choice of Walid Phares as Foreign policy wonk (?) (Didn’t catch his real title) is impressive.

I like that Carson is a real, American Black professional... and softens the tone for the tenderhearts.

He cannot choose Giuliani unless Giuliani changes his state of residence. The Electoral College cannot constitutionally choose a POTUS and VPOTUS from the same state. Condoleeza Rice is a pro-abort. Ted Nugent is great on guns and probably other things but doesn’t Trump have a problem with a lot of his public utterances? Nugent may be further out in that respect. Can we remember that we want to win the election and that we are not running a celebrity “reality” show? This makes as much sense as having Mitch McConnell cover Ted Nugent’s job or Mitch McConnell’s job for that matter.

General Raymond T. Odierno is a very impressive person, but I know nothing of his political leanings(if any).

Trump will need to pick someone from Washington to assure those that are hesitant to vote for Trump that he will have someone who knows how to get something done in DC.

117 posts and only a couple mentions of Christie. It's not interesting what one's opinion is
on who Trump should, only on who he will actually pick. Now, none of us know this, but
wasn't it obvious with Christie standing there today during the foreign policy speech? I
could be wrong, but isn't that the most obvious possibility? Someone with long
government experience, as Trump has said.

Trump has already made it clear he doesn’t like losers. Brown lost his reelection bid in MA, moved to NH and lost there. Not a very good track record.
