University of Wisconsin Madison students demanded more funding for diversity initiatives at an open forum Monday night, even though the administration has already succumbed to many of their previous demands.
One student at the forum, according to the Wisconsin State Journal, suggested that the university raise ticket prices for athletic events in order to help fund opportunities for disadvantaged students.

Over the population of the world is from Asia, so we demand more Asian basketball players and students!
Wait, is that the wrong type of diversity?

Exaggerate much ?

You’re right. I guess these students demanding a “diversity tax” on sporting events haven’t watched the fallout from Missouri...
Oh it’s the UW. For a sec I thought it U-Dub and their prices are already through the roof.

Student found hanging from the ceiling by a 13 loop knot. What also was found was his suicide note tied to his toes.
Dear UW administrator, due to all this diversity I didn't know if I should sh_t or get off the pot, be straight or be a faggot, be or not to be, ect, ect so I decided to end my total confusion.
I don’t know why white people apply to “diverse” colleges knowing they’re footing the bill for everyone else.
Reminds me of those goofy commercials hawking laptops where one would given to a child in Africa if you bought one; at what point do Americans realize they’re just buying two and giving one away to a preferred minority (and foreigner to boot)?
A few counties, including the cities of Madison, Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha lean liberal. The rest of the State including most counties surrounding Milwaukee are fairly conservative.....the unions had a lot to say in those more industrialized areas but the state, as a whole, is agriculturally oriented....thus sane.
I think of it as Germany’s extremes in one state, if you will...the crazy intellectuals ruminating about the death of God, alongside tradesmen and farmers who measure the height of their lawn with a micrometer and whose daily routine could be used to check a watch for accuracy.
Wisconsin has full churches. And lots of them. Lutherans and Catholics fill the churches. They are down over the past 50 years. Certainly they are not what they used to be. But they have higher attendance than most states. Drive through Wisconsin and count the steeples. I think you will be impressed.
There's your problem.
Madison Wisconsin is like Austin Texas. Its a small town of liberals with the state’s largest university and the state’s capital. But the rest of the state is conservative outside of Milwaukee. Like most northern states, Wisconsin has a large union class that is more often voting conservative. These people work hard, live clean, drink beer, and go to church on Sundays.
Madison is often referred to as: “80 square miles, surrounded by reality”
As someone who spent many years in higher education and watched its takeover and decline, it has been the sad part of my life to experience the loss of classical education.
The public universities exist in their current state ONLY because the public and lawmakers allow them to do so. Academic Freedom has nothing to do with what is occurring within the universities today.
Then they will DEMAND free admission to "minority" students.
I have 5 kids all at pretty good high cost schools Johns Hopkins, Bucknell, Lafayette. I think its not worth the money. I got a Jesuit education. But I think that’s gone now in most places. School can be good if its job based. But concept of a classical education. In most places gone is philosophy, rhetoric, logic, ethics. Critical thinking has been replaced with an agenda. And my money has been used for a new workout room.
“drink beer,”
I lived in downtown Milwaukee. It seems like there was a tavern on every corner.
Sometimes in the middle of the block too.

Oh, I don’t deny that at all...as a FIB, I’ve been all over Wisconsin and love going there. I primarily associate the “death of God” extreme liberal element with the university communities like Madison or Milwaukee...and most of Wisconsin is nothing like that.
