Donald Trumps sweeping victories Tuesday night move the Manhattan billionaire a step closer to winning the Republican nomination for president and to pulling off the most improbable political feat in modern American history. But Trumps story is about more than a first-time candidates stunning rise. It is also about the humiliating defeat suffered by an increasingly isolated political and media class who still do not understand the causes and scope of Trumps populist revolt.
In his book Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960-2010, Charles Murray wrote about the rise of a new American upper class and the narrow elites who shape Americas economy, culture and government. The number of players who dominate the direction of media, politics and finance is surprisingly concentrated for a country as sprawling and diverse as the United States. And yet almost all of these influencers across Manhattan and Washington were incapable of blunting Trumps meteoric rise. Time and again over the past year, Washington insiders and media moguls misread the mood of working-class voters and their attraction to the populist message championed by Trump.

Great point! I’ve been watching for decades as folks go to Washington with moderate wealth and leavive stinking rich.
Look at Hillary’s payment for speeches, more then most Americans make in three years.
Payola!
It’s criminal...
How about Isara.
He was here for four months plus Hawking Cuz with flat out disinformation supplied by levin.
The day of the Iowa caucus he up and left the form out of the blue.
No one will convince me he wasn’t here under contract.
A team of forensic accountants would hand Trump almost every piece of legislation he wants. I’ll bet he knows it too. Remember when Paul Ryan said something off color about Trump a round 6 weeks ago? Trump came right out and said. Paul Ryan is just blowing steam, he will come on board eventually. If he doesn’t he will have hell to pay”
I filed this one in my memory bank right away.
She was posting multiple anti Trump trash daily..suddenly gone
I never thought that before but this time it seemed to be the only explanation that made sense.
I got 58 on that quiz. Right smack in the middle. lol
“I tangled with one anti-Trump poster who had been here for at least ten years and had never said a single word about the GOP primaries in 2008 and 2012, no comment on Giuliani or Newt or Fred or Santorum or Mitt or Paul. Nada. But Trump runs and suddenly he can’t shut up about how dangerous he is. The other curious fact, most of his earlier posts looked like a bot could have done them.
For the first time I think there may be something to the idea of paid GOPe trolls.”
MkJessup, PAEngineer, Stephenjohnbanker and I noticed the same pattern. Supposedly old posters with years of no posts/replies and suddenly posting 24/7 anti Trump bs and filled with hate if you dared to correct them.
We labeled them as the Zombies, New Walking Dead or where have you been for years.
How about trolls paid by the Hill team?
2ndDivisionVet has strong opinions (opposite of mine) on Trump, but also has worked tirelessly to bring us multitudes of interesting articles on other subjects.
He is one of the ones who have made Fr the best Conservative site on the net, and I wish him well- despite his anti Trump articles.
Look at Feinstein and Pelosi’s wealth increase since they entered politica. The husbands of both made 10 times their money by trading of the influence of their wives!
I’ll bet some was illegal too.
If Hillary's campaign were smart they'd be trying to keep the GOP in turmoil, stirring up hostility between Cruz, Trump and establishment supporters. But there seems to be plenty of that coming from the grassroots already, and I don't know if Hillary's gang has the knowledge of GOP civil wars to maintain the front.
The troll I dealt with was a typical neocon free traitor globalist. A liberal would have trouble keeping up that front.
The timing is suspicious. After each primary the state campaign shuts down within hours. Real people keep talking up their candidate even after their state votes. A paid Iowa caucus campaign troll would match the pattern you observed.
That pattern is a pretty good filter for spotting trolls.
I was so looking forward to a GOP establishment - scared to death of saying anything truthful about Hillary - claim that they alone could defeat her.
I expect The Donald to revel in going all out to defeat Hillary and pulling no verbal punches. If that happens, it will be a beautiful thing to behold.
Part of the fun will be watching the Don’t Hit The Girl crowd trot out their double standard when it comes to Womyn Empowerment.

Ah, 'we the people' are government and if there is to be patching to be done these traitors of a US sovereign nation need be the ones to back down. Their worship of that Wall Street golden calf will reap their own rewards. What these idiots of their mighty dollar have no clue is that they will take NOT one shining gold nugget when they return to the Maker... That is why we were sent the parable of the 'rich' man. They may well convince themselves they win, but the long term does not bode well for them.
I think that’s a good observation.
Damn.
I used to be proud to see our presidential motorcades. I live in Chicago, and there used to be a bunch of them (annoying yes, but still would make you proud, I remember Nixon’s, Ford’s, Reagan’s)
I haven’t been proud to see a motorcade like that since Reagan’s first term. I’ve been “stuck” in traffic for several of Obama’s. It just pisses me off.
Trump is not even president, and that really stuck a lump in my throat. I’d love to be stuck in traffic waiting for President Trump’s motorcade!
That was great!
I agree. Feinstine’s husband’s company got all mineral rights under the desert national preserve about 15-20 years ago.
